Dear Barranco Team,

Today, during our visit to Lafayette, we had the pleasure of dining at your beautiful establishment. The ambiance, coupled with the incredible music, truly made our experience memorable.

Additionally, it was a delight to learn that today marks Peruvian Independence Day. We are grateful to have been a part of such a significant celebration at your venue.

Thank you for your warm hospitality and for creating a charming setting that truly embodies the spirit of Lafayette. Your dedication to providing an exceptional experience does not go unnoticed, and it has left a lasting impression on us.

We look forward to returning to Barranco in the future and making more wonderful memories at your establishment. Thank you once again for being a part of this vibrant community.

Food is tasty and fresh. The menu is confusing, you never know what to choose. Ask your waiter for advice. I recommend the raw marinated tuna, like poke, and the stuffed avocado.

The seafood paella was delicious, it came in a big bowl that I didn't think I would finish, but I was wrong. Will order again.

Food was good and fresh but the choices on the day when we came were limited. We mainly had appetizers and salads. The service was alright but the chef does not allow for mix and match when it comes to empanadas. Our family does not eat beef and we would have like to have the the other 3 for variety. So we requested to replace the beef one by chicken or a corn empanada. And they said the chef does not allow that which to me in Bay Area is very restrictive given that people have dietary restrictions and cultural preferences. The food arrived very quickly as soon and our table quickly got cluttered with so many serving dishes that there was barely any opportunity for us to even keep our small plates and the server did not offer to help out with the logistics even though all the nearby tables were empty. In any case, the taste of all the things was good especially our salads and empanadas. The fried chicken and prawns were fairly bland inside but the batter was crispy and nice . The restaurant was fairly empty on a Sunday evening and yet the service felt a bit rushed. Polite but rushed.

Delicious food. Strongly recommend the Pulpo (octopus). It’s outstanding.

Short ribs were delicious! The octopus was good. Pisco Sours were good but very small. I was in Peru recently and it was nice to have some of our faves. Just expensive.

Showed up for a late lunch and though they were at that 4-5 time when they'd usually close, they kept it open and served us a wonderful Peruvian meal!

Their Ceviche is so delicious.
If you do not know which one to order..they have a Trio sampler.
Ceviche Mixto & Ceviche de Pescado are the best.
Also recommended Arroz con Coco and the Pescado A Lo Macho

Local catch roasted over seafood stew, mild rocoto-paprika sauce, coconut rice. This plate contains milk, shrimp base and gluten.
