If you've never been to Perk's this is your sign. Everything about this place is amazing. Their food, their drinks, their prices, their staff. The customer service is off the charts, everyone who works there has great energy and they're just amazingly kind. Perk's is my favorite coffee place and I will gladly give them all my cash until the end of time!!!! Go right now!

3 stars for friendly and convenient drive through. However, the coffee was average and very hot; it burned the top of my mouth. Also, the biscotti was Nonnis out of the box mass market from the supermarket. I would advise owners to definitely consider biscotti from a local bakery and charge more for it as they are in a pricey area and people won't be happy with the generic brand.

I didn't even know this place was here! I don't live in Lafayette but I'm through there about 3 times a year. Its easy, convenient, friendly, and a small business. Oh... and the coffee was great. I highly recommend but bring cash, it's cash only!
Great coffee and pastries! Wonderful and welcoming staff. They always give treats to our dog and a bowl of water outside. We love stopping at Caffino.

Pros: Good to see a smaller fish competing against the Starbucks and Peets of the world. Satisfactory offering of the basics as well as seasonal flavored beverages, i.e. Pumpkin for the Fall. Thank you, too, for the coupon in the local mailer for 1/2 off any beverage / food item. Always appreciated. Con: It costs 75 cents more for whole milk in an espresso beverage. I asked the friendly 60 year-old (?) curly-haired woman working the drive-thru why, including doesn't whole milk cost the same as reduced fat milk? She deflected by stating that whole milk costs as much as alternative milks ( soy / almond ). Hmmmm. Given how my specific question wasn't answered, a quick web search brought some pertinent data: Pricing on Lucerne brand Whole / 2% / Non-Fat milk at the local Safeway on Mt. Diablo Boulevard is at $5.99 / gallon on each of the milks. ( No price variations on the "O" brand of milk for the different fat-levels, either. )Now I'm thinking, no, a customer shouldn't be charged more for whole milk based on ingredient costs. ( BTW: Peet's for years would only charge me more for Half 'N Half in my lattes, never more for whole milk. ) It's good to support local, smaller businesses, but at what cost exactly? Pardon the pun. P.S. - If there is anything I'm missing here, may the owners correct me. EX: You are charged more for whole milk yourselves, so you pass that on to the consumer. I get that, but even so, why not flex a bit with customers. The finer details about running a business matters. Ending on a good note, the woman offered anything on top of the latte ( chocolate powder / nutmeg ) as well as heating up the muffin I purchased. Good customer service in that regard..
