Best restaurant in Lafayette for the family.
Food tastes delicious.
The food was delicious, drinks too!!! Will definitely be back!! Service was good too considering how busy they were when we walked in 🙏😻
Requested a side of cocktail sauce for a $15 calamari appetizer because it is served with tartar sauce (unhealthy mayonnaise and relish). We were presented with a 1oz serving of watery marinara sauce that was not only unusually small for three people, it was definitely insufficient for the roughly 1/2 lb of calamari.
So, I asked for a second such side, and all hell broke loose:
- It took five minutes to get the attention of the half-empty restaurant's staff to request the condiment.
- When I asked for the additional marinara, I was WARNED that ordering a third would result in a surcharge. Not that I wanted a third or was concerned with the price, why was I threatened with asking for sauce?
- About ten minutes later, the manager came to the rescue. But, only in his mind because he did not have any marinara sauce for our then long - cold appetizer. Instead, he professed his deep concern as to whether we wanted the 1 oz marinara dip to be warm or cold. At this moment when I had to endure his gaslighting, it had been at least 15 minutes since the calamari was placed on the table. And, I was just trying to get some marinara to share with my family.
Having worked at several restaurants and dined around the world I cannot, for the life of me, understand what kind of petty BS happened to make a marinara request go nuclear in the kitchen to the point that the manager resorted to gaslighting us about a 1 oz marinara side's temperature preference 15 minutes after the plate was put on the table.
I really hope they do better in the future. But, I won't be there to see it.
Avoid Tutu's
This place has become our basic go-to place for our family in the Lafayette area. The menu selection is good and reasonably varied, but not overwhelming. Nothing too pretentious about the place. The staff is very polite and friendly and engaging, etc. Manufacturing in recent inflation, the pricing isn't unreasonable. It's at least worth checking it out for yourself.
This place was great. The food was amazing.
Good, not great. Food was served before our drinks came and not all at once.
This place is amazing and has been for years! Pioneers in the farm to table movement in a family friendly environment. Integrity with ingredients and the staff and owner have always been true gems. There’s something for everyone!
Incredible staff, very dog-friendly, terrific menu! You will be thrilled! Angela

Tutu's surpassed our expectations in every way. Everything that can be is organic and they have a wonderful variety of offerings. As much as possible, their Seafood is wild caught, not farmed. I've been afraid to try them out cuz I was a big Chow fan and I didn't want to be let down. I wasn't. They took a good thing and made it better!!
And the service was fabulous, not at all formal, but made us feel like family. One of our many dishes didn't meet our expectations, and our waiter, Jason, and the manager, Blaine, immediately made things right by replacing it with something else at no extra charge. Everything else was wonderful. The salmon was perfectly undercooked, just the way I like it. The side of mushrooms included a variety of types, nicely sauteed. The spinach salad was great and the flourless chocolate cake was to live for!!
Vegetarian options: Quite a few vegetarian dishes and they are flexible about substitutions.
Dietary restrictions: My girlfriend is currently gluten-free, and we easily negotiated what she should order.
Parking: Multiple parking lots and street parking all very close.
Kid-friendliness: Bring your kids.
Wheelchair accessibility: Level in.

Shrimp Louie was not Shrimp Louie. It was a salad with 3 prawns. Neither the server nor the manager seemed to care that this was not a shrimp louie salad. The avocado that came with it was old and steingy.
