What a wonderful experience at Deer Hill Vineyards. A post Christmas gift to our wonderful friends. Contacted Bill to arrange a date and time. He was quick to respond. Very excited to try a Vineyard so close to home that we didn’t know anything about. And, wow, it was such a beautiful tasting room, with a Bill telling us all about his property and how he got into wine making. Also telling us so much info about the wine industry. Learned more here than anywhere else. We had a wonderful and relaxing time. We also got a great charcuterie board. Thank you Bill so very much. We had the best time.

Our friends treated us to a wine tasting afternoon at Deer Hill Winery on a beautiful June day. We were greeted by Bill and invited into the most amazingly beautiful, artistic and inviting space! Who would have known there was such a gem in Lafayette! The wine tastings and charcuterie board, photos and video presentation, created a memorable experience. We all agreed that we learned more from Bill at Deer Hill Vineyard than we have learned from any other wine tasting experience. Definitely a place we want to bring out of town guests. We visited Bill's vineyard during a family trip to San Francisco around Thanksgiving, and it was a highlight of our trip!! Our whole family raved about the quality of the wine, Bill's passion for his art, the cozy elegance of his tasting room in his home, and OH MY GOSH the Sangiovese. It rivaled wines I've had in Tuscany. Bill included personal touches like videos and images of the process, and a perfect charcuterie platter that paired superbly with the wine selection that day. He is immensely proud of his product and has every right to be. He was welcoming, informative, and we didn't have one critique! Also, you can walk to the vineyard from the Bart so it's super convenient.

I celebrated my birthday here with a small group of friends yesterday. 10/10 recommend for a local tasting. The tasting room was beautiful- I wish I took photos in there! After the tasting we snapped a few photos out by the vines and enjoyed a couple bottles of wine. Bob was a great host and played music while my group chatted and enjoyed the first fall-feeling day with the sun whipping in and out from behind the clouds here and there. I can't finish this review without mentioning the delicious charcuterie board that Bob prepared for us. Yum! Definitely will return for the holidays and bring the family.

I would give it six stars if I could. The venue was perfect, the wine was excellent, the food was terrific and all our guests just raved about it. And the owners were absolute gems. This event could not have been better.
Bill hosted me, my wife, and daughter last summer during 4th of July. We were amazed with his personalised experience of wine making and casual conversation. I would highly recommend this winery tour for anyone interested in wine tasting/ wine making. He is truly a specialist in the area willing to make your visit customised to your expectations.

This Family run winery is truly a gem in East Bay. Tucked away in Lafayette hills. Bill is the great owner and knows his wine making process inside out. Amazing wines. Bill takes his time to sit with you and explain the wine making process. We have also considered this winery for work place outings/off-site meetings and team building events. I would give this winery two thumbs up and highly recommend everyone to check this winery out. Go to this winery...you will not regret it!
