I was very excited to try this place, as there has been a lot of buzz! You need to preorder the donuts earlier in the week (Mon-Thurs or until sold out) and pick up Saturday 7-10am. I split a half dozen box with my sister and we got 3 different flavors each, which came to $25 with tax.The website is a little finicky, and its very easy to accidentally select quantity of boxes instead of quantity of donuts, which I figured out quickly when multiple boxes of donuts were in my shopping cart. If you select a custom box, you can choose up to 3 flavors in quantities of 2, there is not an option to individually select all 6 donut flavors. You are instructed to text your name when you arrive at the pickup spot, which I did, however there was a man at the door asking your name and walking back and forth handing out the boxes.The donuts are beautifully presented in the box, but I was underwhelmed with the flavor and texture. The donut flavor for lemon and vanilla was just the glaze on top. Since the donut was so chewy, it really needed that the glaze to soak all the way through, or for the donut to have a pop of lemon flavor in the cake base. Old fashioned donuts are usually dense and moist, I was expecting Founders "twist" on the donut to be a very light and airy version, but instead it was chewy and spongey. Overall, I thought it was a bit pricey for the hype.

I had the opportunity to try these and it did not disappoint. The texture and favors were pretty good. It is definitely a treat to get these and you need to order ahead for weekend pickup. The favors were: vanilla, lemon poppy seed, chocolate, ube (sweet purple potato), pumpkin spice and red velvet. I would recommend these if you want to treat yourself, family and friends.

Their site is very easy to navigate. Order a box of 6 donuts as a variety pack or pick your own flavors! You can also order donut holes if you contact them directly.They share an industrial kitchen with other small businesses. You can find them at Lafayette Kitchen. Make a left at the light and there’s a small parking lot where you can park and call the business. They’ll bring out the donuts to you.

Excellent old fashioned donuts. I got the sampler with the coconut pineapple as the flavor of the week. All of the flavors were spot on, but my favorite was the lemon poppyseed.

Came across this new donut pop up on IG, and I've never been happier to check out an ad! The process is easy: you place an order online Mon - Thurs and then pick up Fri or Sat. Pick up is easy & convenient, the guy who came out was very nice and brought out the donuts immediately. I would recommend the variety box - 6 different flavors and every single one was good (bonus for ube which was the best in my opinion). Donuts are more cakey and less light, but each is designed super cutely and includes a donut hole at the top for convenient snacking or sharing.

I had no idea there was a local start up, woman owned donut business serving it up in Lafayette until they partnered with Chicks n Love pizza!!! My chicks let me know whats up & made it so easy!!! I simply ordered my donuts on the Founders website & the Chicks were kind enough to pick up the donuts to deliver them with my pizza order!!! Win Win!!! Who doesn't love donuts & pizza??? First off, I love donuts. However, I never get old fashioned donuts ever. They taste fine just not my first choice. These are homemade old fashioned donuts in some interesting flavor combos. I ordered 6. You can only choose 3 flavors, I wish I could've tried more but chose the red velvet since it is a limited flavor, lemon poppyseed, and cinnamon sugar. All come topped with a donut hole, so cute!!! For an old fashioned donut they were tasty & moist. I hate dry anything! My fav was the cinnamon sugar, then poppyseed. The red velvet disappointed in flavor. Honestly it didn't have much flavor in the donut or the frosting. Definitely worth a try if you love donuts and especially old fashioned donuts! Wish I could've tried the vanilla & the ube! Next time!!!

For now you pre-order during week and pickup Saturday mornings from this shared commercial kitchen on Lafayette Circle. From the Matcha Pistachio and Uber Purple Yam, to the triple chocolate, cinnamon glaze and lemon poppyseed, all were a hit with my family. If you're looking for something special and different we give it a big icing covered thumbs up.

I was so excited to learn about Founders Donuts, a new "pop-up" donut shop in Lafayette! You can place an order online from Monday thru Thursday, and then pick up your old fashioned donuts on Saturday morning! Perfect way to start the weekend. Their flavors rotate. I ordered a combo of the weekly menu, which included two lemon poppyseed donuts, two signature vanilla donuts and two chocolate chip donuts. Each donut came with a lil' donut hole on top, which was a very welcome surprise! All three flavors were delicious, but being a traditionalist, signature vanilla was my favorite. Looking forward to adding this joint into my donut rotation!
