The 3 Vegan rolls we had were terrific. The were tasty and beautifully plated. Just make sure to ask that fresh oil be used if you are a strick vegan.

Lovely little gem. Food was ? on fleet! Chef Muvum made me a custom roll (I asked him for something inspired and he did not disappoint!) that was absolutely delicious and I've had the pleasure of sampling sushi from many restaurants around The Bay.We were first-timers here but we look forward to returning! The mushroom soup was also wonderful and a generous portion. Thanks Kiku Sushi!!

Authentic, SUPER Fresh, Clean Frying Oil, Light Crispy Batter on Tempura, Tempura & Sushi Shrimp cooked to perfection (not rubbery and tasteless like many others), good variety of veggies for Tempura and all fresh and each perfectly cooked, delicious Miso Soup which was clearly made from scratch in house, and Sushi Sashimi that literally melts in your mouth with clean flavors, no sinew, and no fishy hangover taste. Terrible service, mediocre sushi. States they close at 9:30p on a Friday. We walk in at 8:30p and it's almost empty. We proceed to order and food came inconsistently. Had to remind server to bring soup, spoon. No water brought to table. At 8:45p, all staff started to clean and move tables. No server came back to see if we wanted any other food.Food quality was poor. My California roll was mushy and lacked flavor. My husband's rolls he rated a 5/10. Not good. At 9pm, they turned off a light as we were still eating. Remember they close at 9:30p.Awful. Don't go here.

The dining experience is something out of a movie where everyone is cooler than you, but quirky. I could Jack Black, Janeane Garofalo, and Zach Galifianakis...with maybe Helen Mirren as the sage owner.It's the best place in Lafayette, probably the best place in Lamorinda. It's cool, the food is great, the service is outstanding and the food is to die for. I can't believe how lucky we are to have this in Lafayette. It's like dogs, we don't deserve it.

Arrived and was greeted then shown a couple of open tables.3.Ordered and waited patiently. First came my hot tea and water, then the miso soup -- just the right flavor & hot temperature for me. I stirred the soup to let it cool down.4. Saw they were also handling To-Go orders amazingly fast.5. My 7-piece order arrived and I enjoyed every piece.Sent my compliments back to the Chef... whose name is also "Jay"When in town for business, I will definitely try other items on my next visits!
