We dine at Positano almost every week, usually at the bar, and have consistently found both the food and service to be excellent. That's why we chose to bring an out-of-town guest here. It's one of our go-to spots. As expected, the food did not disappoint. I had the risotto special, which was outstanding, and my wife and her friend shared the lobster ravioli, which they also enjoyed. Unfortunately, the service during this visit fell short. It wasn't particularly busy, but our server (Julia?) was frequently absent. She took our drink order and returned with only two of the three drinks but the glass of wine was missing. When we asked about it, she eventually brought it but offered no apology or explanation for the delay. After our food was served, there were no check-ins, and we barely saw her again until we requested the check. Because the service felt so inconsistent and inattentive, we ended up skipping dessert — a disappointment, as we were looking forward to the Limoncello cake. This was a very atypical experience for us at Positano, and while we'll certainly be back, we hope it was just an off night.

This is a delightful Italian restaurant with delicious food. I've ordered the steak (cooked perfectly to you ordered temperature) salad the last couple of times I've been there for lunch. A friend ordered the margarita pizza and said it was the the best pizza she's ever had. The service was perfect - attentive, but not rushed. I will definitely return!

Service was slow. They let us wait too long to get the orders. They brought in kids's food first but it took so long for our food to come in. They celebrated every other table's birthdays but for some reason skipped my dads. The waiter was a bit "too friendly" also. The menu is very limited also. Not too many options. Will probably won't go again.

We were visiting Lafayette for the first time and found Locando Positano through a Google search for "best restaurants" in the area. Based on reviews and the high rating, our expectations were high and we were not disappointed. We were seated immediately on a Friday night at 730p. The restaurant is charming. Looks to be a converted home. There is indoor and outdoor seating. We were sat outside on a patio that was full of diners. The service was great - attentive but not too heavy handed. The burratta and prosciutto was a great started. The two pasta dishes were divine. Fresh ingredients and delicious in flavor. We wrapped up our meal with the lemon cake that was the perfect cap out our meal. Highly recommend.

The outdoor patio is spacious and lovely, you feel like you are in Italy. Our servers were excellent and the food was delicous.
