We enjoyed everything we ordered- from appetizer, wine, salad, to the entrees. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Our server was attentive without being intrusive. We feel very fortunate to have this authentic French restaurant so close to home. No need to drive into the City and dealing with traffic and parking to enjoy excellent French cuisine! Bravo team Rêve!
Had another wonderful meal at Reve. Our server was excellent as always. I tried the rabbit special and it was delicious and reasonably priced. Husband had to order the veal sweetbreads because they always have them and they are delicious. Took advantage of the $10 corkage. Had a lovely evening. Thank you Reve for being consistently great!
Authentic French cuisine carefully prepared, beautifully presented and served in a quiet outdoor patio setting with cozy clear plastic walls surrounding the patio
I was so looking forward to this evening. I wanted escargot, French onion soup and sweetbreads!. The waitress was wonderful, the patio one of my favorites ever but the food was somewhat of a disappointment. The escargot were not very hot, lacking butter and one of mine I actually had to cut the fat off. The onion soup was lacking that deep rich beef, onion base that makes this soup so craveable. The sweetbreads were very tender, super cleane and tasty. My friends, raved about their beet salad, pork chop and steak and fries.
Love the food. The beat salad was awesome, and we will be back for that. Love the fires and the service was top notch.
After 10 years Reve continues to be one of our favorite restaurants. The most difficult challenge when dining at Reve is deciding what to order. Last night I opted for the beet salad and mushroom risotto with day boat scallops. The beet salad remains a favorite. The scallops with mushroom risotto were perfectly prepared and perfectly seasoned. My husband enjoyed his steak frites. You must know the frites are in high demand when they are sitting on many of the tables regardless of the main entrees chosen. The perfect item to share.
This was our second visit in less than six months here at Reve. We simply loved it. Now it's our favorite restaurant in the Bay Area. Thank you chef Paul and all the team!! We will back for sure.
The food at Reve is always good, their prices have increased with their new Fall menu, and Saturday night, they are busy, busy... That makes the kitchen slsow and the service uneven. Populare restaurant especially with the older set it seems.
Friendly and informative service, tasty food, nice atmosphere. While I didn't feel as if I was transported to a French Bistro, I did feel welcomed and appreciated. Appetizer (artichoke dip) and salad (beet) were decent, entrees of Risotto and Mussels were delicious. Oddly, the french fries (while dipping into the white wine cream sauce) were my favorite. Worth at least a visit, if not more.
Haven't been there in years, and decided to go for our wedding anniversary. Great wine list, with a wine flight offering of French Pinot Noir that was quite tasty. Great Chicken pate appetizer, and I was given gluten free bread and toasts to enjoy! Wonderful New York Steak frites and a beautiful heirloom tomato salad. Lovely meringue dessert. The decor is charming, and we look forward to dining outside when the weather is warm again!

Excellent drink, meal and desert. Our server was attentive and kind without an ounce of pretension. I felt like a guest in the truest cense. Will be back soon.
Best restaurant in the east bay! The entire family loved it from my 10 year old to my mother in law. Great food and service.
Enjoyed a fall night out in the garden area with the Harp playing in the tented area. Lovely! Food is excellent as always, the chef pate in pastry crust delicious, the Reve salad was light and perfect before the entree the beef cheek bourguignon was incredible and the chicken dish (which I can't pronounce or spell) was amazing. Great wine parking and finished with a seasonal Pluot dessert. Definitely a favorite restaurant and a special treat!
Our party of four thoroughly enjoyed our meals! Good flavor and presentation for sure! The service, however, was substandard with lack of organization and way to casual style.
Good food, service, ambience, wines. Quaint and nice decor inside and out. The french onion soup was good, but a little sweeter than I would like.
