Nice place. The staff and service were amazing. I expected a lot from the food from the other reviews I had read. I give the appetizers an 8 out of 10. I must have got the French onion soup on a bad night. I was disappointed. Not very much flavor. The ribeye was very good, and the dessert was the best. So I give the food a 7 out of 10.

Celebrated a weeknight birthday at Reve, superb meal and service as always! Arlene was our server and she was a joy! The inside seating is so nice and cozy. We look forward to our next time at Reve.

We celebrated a birthday and enjoyed the excellent customer service, very polite and friendly waiters and reception desk. We got the charcuterie board with rabbit rillette which was a really good choice, and paired it with excellent french wine. Coq au vin and veal roti were both average+ but we liked them enough to come back and tries other things next time. Creme brulée was 9/10 and very tasty. Overall positive review and we recommend this place absolutely!

Delicious food. Small (tiny), quaint restaurant with lovely/comfortable patio seating. Don’t let the small strip mall parking lot fool you.

We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Food was top notch, service was exceptional. We felt the element comfort of the family run vibes from the moment we walked in the door.

This was a very bad dining experience. Where do I start? The appetizers (charcuterie board, onion soup) were good, but not spectacular. It was downhill from there. First, our waiter left us sitting for over half an hour after we finished the appetizers. We had to ask several busboys to send him back to our table. My stepson and I ordered the hangar steak. I have never had such a bad steak - probably 1/3 of an inch thick and so gristly and fatty I could only eat a bit of it. My husband asked his son if he liked it - the son said he liked the parts that were edible! The desserts were not a wow - we had opera cake which was very mediocre. The service and food were nowhere near the level an expensive and high-end restaurant like this should be. We will never return.

Excellent attentive service and nice patio. Pricy, but were you expecting cheap French dining in downtown Lafayette??? The escargots and the Pâté en Croûte (not the regular pate), with a glass of wine was excellent. Oysters were large and delicious.

Based on many very positive reviews, decided to make a reservation for 5:30pm on a Tuesday. We were greeted promptly upon arrival and seated right away. Overall, our interactions with all staff were very positive and friendly. Appreciated being asked by the hostess sitting us at our table if we would like still or sparkling water to start and we had a large bottle of San Pelligrino placed on our table within 30 seconds of sitting down.

Amuse-bouche: Cougeres were light and tasty as expected. Olives a la Provencale were tasty but I would have preferred a lot less garlic covering the olives. We were also provided with two small glasses of Gazpacho (chilled watermelon, tomatoes and strawberry) compliments of the chef which was much appreciated and tasty.

The Soupe a l'oignon gratinee was served hot and was quite tasty and authentically french.

The Noix St Jacques (scallops) were perfectly cooked and tender served with a delicious and tasty corn, mushroom risotto; however, the chef must not have tasted the scallops or he/she would have realized that there was too much salt added. The scallops were tender and usually don't require much salt to be added beyond what they have naturally. The tender and somewhat sweet taste of perfectly cooked fresh scallops was missing because of the extra salt.

The Filet de Fletan Poele (halibut) was perfectly cooked and served over a very tasty whipped polenta with chorizo chips.

Finished up with the Vanilla Creme Brulee which was quite tasty with a lightly toasted sugar topping.

Overall, we were quite pleased with our experience at this pricey French Bistro restaurant with only the salty scallops keeping this a four star instead of five star rating.

I had not had a chance to taste food of this quality in a very long time: from the Cougères, to the French Onion Soup, the Salmon with mashed potatos and Artichokes (delicious and subtle) and finishing with the pear tart. This was very special.

We ordered apps and a cocktail each. The gougeres were okay. The pate was a let down. It was bland and the texture is not even close to a pate. It was chunks of something that was rough chopped and put in a terrine. It was busy and the service was sparse.

Classic French bistro style cooking. Yes, steak and frites, but also many seasonal dishes. Charcuterie is excellent. House made pâté and rillette. Menu changes so check. I do wish dessert menu changed more often.

We were totally happy, even blown away, by our experience. Four long time friends joined to celebrate all our birthdays at a special dinner...average age 81. We had an unforgetable meal at Reve; staff was all wonderful and friendly and our waiter was extraordinary (the big guy). The food was just stellar and we enjoyed everything from salad to dessert. Brought a bottle from one of our cellars that went with our meals and the corkage was reasonable given their wonderful wine list. Some of us had been before and and this place will never disappoint. It really is a creative space and you feel that energy. 10 stars at least.

A special one night wine and food pairing menu which was delicious. The Morey santenay burgundy paired superbly with the mushroom stuffed chicken leg and fall greens. The halibut prepared in a Grenoblois sauce was perfectly prepared and was so compatible with the two Morey white burgundies. The first course was a fantastic salad with sliced peaches, bits of baked or fried prosciutto, goat cheese, and greens. I could have just that and been happy. One doesn't come across salads so fine anywhere else that I've come across other than at Le Cou Cou in NYC. We can't wait for the next special wine dinner.

We had the rouget entree last night, ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! The variety of flavors was so wonderful, we paused between bites just to savor the moments ? Thank you for the perfect meals!
