We recently went to Reve, our favorite French restaurant in the bay area for my wife's birthday. As usual, everything from the food to the service to the timing of the meal was excellent. Sophie does a great job. We highly recommend the Reve experience. By the way, Reve means dream !

We just had dinner at Reve for their Truffle pre-fixe and the menu was delightful, well executed, and the service was excellent. The amuse bouche was gougers with a truffle bechamel-nice combination of fluffy gouger and richness of the bechamel. The beet salad with truffle mascarpone was well balanced and light with fresh shaved truffles and there was a choice of steak frite or sole and both were delicious and generous portions. There was root vegetable gratin included and it went very well with the entrees. Dessert of chocolate mousse which was light and airy or cheese course with truffle honey-so tasty! The truffles were included in all courses but not overwhelming. Price was reasonable and the portions were generous! Hats off to Chef Paul and all the staff, service was amazing! We are regulars and will continue to come to Reve!

We've eaten at this restaurant often but this time the meals were exceptionally good! I ordered the sweetbreads and they were very tender with little fat as I requested. My companion ordered the pork chop and was very satisfied. The portions were generous, and the staff is always welcoming and friendly.

We celebrated NYE at Rêve. I enjoyed the Duck, it was savory excellence. My husband ordered the veal. He said it was perfect.

Every bite is delectable. Ambiance is cute. Pricey, but that's life at nice restaurants in the Bay Area. Courses paced well for us as we prefer not having each course piled on top of the last. It was a busy night and the Bay Area was backed up so our bottle of wine was a little slow to arrive. Everything else was top notch.

The facility is an utter disaster which spoils otherwise good food and good service. We had dinner on a cold night in the "patio" enclosed by plastic sheets and heated by electric heaters; cold on one side, hot on the other. They have parking issues too. And it is an expensive place with lousy ambiance. The net is, sadly, it's not worth the trip unless you are a real devotee of French food.
