I took two friends to Reve to celebrate their birthdays, and we had a relaxing and delicious meal! The atmosphere in the outdoor heated garden tent was inviting and charming, and our waiter Joel was welcoming and gracious. We all enjoyed our starters of courgeres and pomme frites, and the Reve salad was delicious. The entrees of petrale sole and scallops were also delicious and beautifully presented. The desserts of chocolate mousse and lemon tart with birthday candles were a delightful finale. I'm looking forward to returning for another wonderful dinner! So nice to have such a great restaurant in Lafayette.

Great restaurant! The food was quite good...advertised as a bistro and lived up to its billing. The service was unhurried and excellent, and the entire staff was pleasant and seemed genuinely glad to see you. I'm coming back!

Delighted with the warm welcome, available but non-intrusive wait-staff, fantastic food (duck confit for him, filet of sole for me) . . . and a memorable dessert (Opera Cake). Prices have gone up a bit, so this is only an occasional treat for us, but well worth it. Everything here is top-notch.

This is my favorite special occasion restaurant in the entire Bay Area. The food is always perfect....the service is attentive and helpful. Creative wine and food pairings are made, featuring black Vintners this month.

I was there last year and it was ok. Last night we went there and had their chicken which was horrible. Everything is over priced ,they even charge you for bread and tiny amount of butter. They may have a new chef. I would never go there again. I had stomach pain and heartburn all night last night. After we had dinner there which my son didn't eat the chicken we went and got him a pizza, that's how bad their chicken was.

Romantic bistro setting perfect for celebrating my birthday. The cocktails were delicious and the food was exquisite. I had the bay scallop squash risotto. Thank you to the staff for making me feel special!

Seven of us celebrated a 50th birthday last night and had a wonderful time. Reve staff were friendly and accommodating, the food was delicious and plentiful, we felt welcome and valued. I especially appreciated not feeling rushed to turn the table. Great experience!

Chef Paul and Laura offer this not so hidden gem in Lafayette, California. “A little French in the hood...”. Step into a local neighborhood favorite and partake in local lore of a GOOD traditional French meal. Celebrating another sun around the sun, we started with appetizers that included escargot, gougere, olives, and an artichoke prepared dish. Seven of us celebrate family and friends in Chef's daily special offering—in this case, petrale sole was specially prepared and folded onto the supper plate with perfectly cooked potatoes and spinach. Other dinner guests enjoyed the staple steak frites and menu petrale sole. Inviting a local favorite, additional table frites were made available to dine on. Additionally, vegetarian offerings were available for a family member who has proclivity to a meatless meal—risotto hit the spot. We finished with dessert of Meyer lemon tart, chocolate mousse, and crème brûlée. All delicious. Dinner for six and cocktails and appetizers for seven with dessert cost $507 with gratuity included for our large table. Priceless.

What a delightful and tasty meal the 6 of us ladies had at Reve Bistro! The food was fabulous....5 of us had the filet of sole with spinach and seriously, we all ate every morsel. Our waiter was superb and was friendly and attentive. We can't wait to go back!

We have been many times. The escargots and sweetbreads last night were far inferior than previous visits. Two out of 6 escargots were VERY difficult to remove from the shells and NOT good. The sweetbreads were very poor. The scallops and Sole were delicious.

Went for dinner on a Monday night and it was super busy. Despite not having a booking, they offered our party seats at the bar but had a table ready promptly before drinks were finished.Food was fabulous with the moules and oysters a favourite. Creme brulee was beautiful, smooth, rich and not a grain in sight.Service was also outstanding.

Our first time here. They gave us a taste of the soup d'jour because it was our first time here. It was very good. My husband had the French onion and it was pretty good. I had beet salad and it was very good. Had the gougeres and they were delicious. We both had cousellet and I liked it better than my husband. Wine was good. Manhattan very good. Waiter was great.

It's truly a gem. Smack in the middle of fairly good restaurants in Lafayette, this little bistro stands out in quality of food and specially the attentive service. Definitely recommended over and over.
