Food has improved over time. California salad was under-dressed. Prices are high for what you get.

unfortunately, we went for my husband‘s birthday. I had asked that we sing happy birthday possibly I indicated this on the reservation when I created it when I got there the manager said don't worry we'll take care of it for you and that particular manager was so preoccupied with another guest, my husband and I and our other family member that went with us literally watched him have a conversation for about 30 minutes with the other customer and never came back to tend to us or acknowledge the request for my husband's birthday. That was disappointing. . I called the next day. Spoke with the owner's daughter. She said she would have her father call me back regarding the situation and that hasn't happened either.. the food is really good. Our initial visit to this restaurant was impressive. That was the reason why I went back and took my husband for his birthday. I was sad regarding our second visit.. apologize for any typos I'm speaking into my phone.

Consistently excellent service and tasty Mexican food and drinks. Good size portions. Nice outdoor seating. Convenient free parking in lot behind the restaurant.

We met friends for lunch. There is plenty of good parking, the waiter was terrific and the food fantastic. We can't recommend Rancho Cantina more highly!!

We were the only ones there, 49ers playoff was on! Enjoyed the staff, very personable. I recommend the carnitas extra crispy and the chicken. Bothe were great!

If you are lucky enough to have Avery serve you, and better yet, sing happy birthday, you will leave with a smile on your face and faith that good, talented people exist!! Food is yum, guacamole to die for and drinks stellar!

The food at Rancho Cantina is always delicious. Our team of servers did an excellent job, led by Avery who is always a lot of fun. This is a really nice, family-run restaurant where everything is done very professionally.

Food was fantastic, chicken wings were off the charts. So was the brick chicken. Our server was great and we will definitely be going back.

It was a great Christmas Eve dinner for us. We ordered the shared ribeye steak and it was delicious. As usual the service was excellent.

Not wonderful! The ambiance and decor are their redeeming factors. The food is average. The prices are ridiculous. Chicken fajitas with tortillas, peppers and onions $28. Small portion of chicken and mainly green bell peppers (cheaper). Does not include rice ($3) or beans ($3) which you need to order separately. A side of guacamole to go with chips is $14-small portion. Weak margaritas. Definitely a disappointment !

Food is fresh and delicious but could use a bit of spicing up. Quite bland to be honest. I had to pour the chips salsa on my carnitas to get a bit more flavor.

Avery is the best part of Rancho Cantina and Rancho cantina is the best part of Lafayette!

This is just a gem of a place with amazing staff and stellar foood! Seafood tacos are my go-to but I had the salmon last time and it was perfect.

M husband, and I both agree, this is the best traditional Mexican food around. But elevated. We've had multiple items on the menu and every single one of them is fantastic! Just wish they'd open a location down in Danville. 😁

Every time we pass by this place it smells amazing. Finally decided to try it out, staff was very nice but ultimately the food was over-priced and bland white-people Mexican food. Won't be going back
