mmmm so good 𫨠a bit sweet for asian aunties
MY FIRST TIME HERE.
I WAS VERY IMPRESSED CAUSE THEIR CAKES ARE SURPRISINGLY DELICIOUS.
I BOUGHT THE BERRY CAKE, VERY GOOD AND DIFFERENT FROM OTHER CAKES I HAD BEFORE.
FINDING PARKING WAS HARD FOR ME.
I THINK A LITTLE MORE ATTENTION TO CUSTOMER SERVICE WILL BENEFIT TOO.

The flavor selection in their online ordering system is very confusing and the cake I ordered was not what I meant to order! The cake was too sweet with all confetti sugars which was added through flavor selection!
I arrived about 35 minutes before closing. I normally order from the SusieCakes in San Francisco for my job. Because of this I got an email that informed me of their pineapple upside down cupcake and I had to get one! So I donāt normally eat pineapple a few of my friends do and I was going to see them in Lafayette, so the circumstances were perfect. Iāve never been to this establishment before, and was concerned that they would already be sold out of the delicious treat, so instead of ordering ahead, I decided to just run into the store. I have some basic knowledge of the Lafayette area, so I assume there would be parking in front that I could quickly dip into the store and grab my treats and go. The front parking area has been blocked off for the restaurants in the area. Not a problem, and honestly a great idea, especially as we move towards warmer weather. Instead, I parked around the back of the establishment, closer to the AT&T store. I didnāt notice that the parking had meters on them that end at 7 PM, so I did have to put in a little change to make sure that my car wouldnāt be taken for the five or so minutes, I would be in there, but better safe than sorry, Wright! I wish I remembered the name of the lovely woman who assisted me. I came in a bit frantic, just how traffic gets me, especially during a weekday, but once I calm down, I was supposedly able to make my order. Two lemon cupcakes, two red velvet cupcakes, two lemon cupcakes, two pineapple upside down cupcakes, and two snickerdoodle cookies. In total it came to about $48, which was about what I assumed it would come out to. The store smells absolutely delicious! And everything looks magical. I think my friends are gonna be very excited to see this! Oh, I forgot to mention the thing that I love the most! They have gluten-free flourless desserts as well. I didnāt think my friend who canāt have gluten would be out with us tonight so I didnāt pick one up, but that cake looks absolutely delicious and I know they wouldāve loved it if I had gotten it.
This is my go-to bakery for every special occasion. The staff is super nice and the cakes are always on point.
I'm writing this today because the world needs to know about this seasonal peppermint cake. SO GOOD! In my top five of any cake I've ever had from any bakery. So good, I'm writing a Google review for it three days after purchase. Keep up the great work!

I havenāt been here in a few years because last time I went here the cakes were dry. I went here today, the cakes are still dry. Overpriced cupcakes that suck. I spent 30 dollars on 5 dry cupcakes. You can get a better cupcake at Safeway. This is the last time I will ever spend my money here. Nasty and expensive.

We couldnāt have been happier with the cakes from Susie Cakes for our special occasions. For our wedding, they created a beautiful classic vintage-style, three-tier marble cake that was not only stunning but absolutely delicious. The attention to detail in the design was incredible, and it perfectly fit our vision for the day. Recently, I also ordered a SusiePink Vintage Cake for my wifeās birthday, and it was just as impressive. The vanilla celebration cake inside was a hit, and the elegant design added the perfect touch to her special day. Susie Cakes always delivers exceptional quality and service, and I highly recommend them for any event!

I LOVE cake, but it's so hard to find bakeries that offer single slices of cake! Most just have cupcakes (which this place does too,) but it's just not the same to me.
I treated myself to some cake today after a stressful medical appointment, and the staff was super nice and the selection was almost overwhelming. They were very patient, and I decided on a slice of vanilla celebration cake. This slice was HUGE and it's now almost midnight and I'm not even halfway through it. It's super sweet but also tastes like they used the highest quality ingredients possible. My only complaint is that I like a lighter, fluffier cake and this is more dense, but that is personal preference (like I said, I LOVE cake.) My fiance got the carrot cake and said it was perfect!

Just wanted to post this review for the manager Mike-- who helped get me out of a pickle when he didn't have to. I'm apart of a catering company in Lafayette, and when I ran into issues securing 2-tier cake boxes for a birthday, Mike came to my rescue and gave me (and built them too!) TWO 2-tier cake boxes and refused to let me pay for them despite my insisting.
I haven't had the chance to try their cakes yet, but the service is outstanding and I am going to be forever grateful for Mike's help! What a stand up gentleman, and I wish nothing for the best for someone as kind as him!

No matter what the location, these cakes are waaaay TOO SWEET ?? not worth the price
Got a bday cake here, and oh my lord this is the most sugary thing I have ever eaten in my life.I think three quarters of this cake is made of pure sugar. I forced myself to have three bites and my husband didn't finish his small piece either. I think we have to throw the rest away.If they can cut the sugar in half, it'll be a better cake. Come on Americans, try to bake with less sugar and you'll find a whole new world that's tastier and healthier.Absolutely not recommend unless you want diabetes

We went to their Lafayette shop today and brought two cakes. One chocolate and one red velvet, both were the small cakes and total for both was over $100.00. After dinner, we cut both cakes and the chocolate cake was terrible. It was not fresh and tasted worst than the one we could have gotten at Costco. The red velvet cake was okay but not worth $50.00. Needless to say there are much better cakes with other bakeries. This is the last time we will visit them.

Lady serving the cake and boxing was super rude to me and my wife. She told us that she dropped our cake and it got messed up, and wasnt sure if we wanted another one⦠then I responded with āYes we would like another cakeā. Then she very disrespectfully tells us āwell thats fine, I can just give this free cake to someone else, I have no problem with thatā. This was confusing to us because she never once told us that she was going to give us the messed up cake plus another new cake⦠she was the one that asked the confusing question, without giving all the relevant details. That lady servicing the cakes on 12/16/2023, has poor communication skills and might need customer service training. As a long time customer, I donāt appreciate her condescending rude remarks.0/10 would not recommend.

Not a cake person but if Iām near a location, I make the exception for SusieCakes! Our favorite flavors are vanilla celebration, lemon, carrot & chocolate marble! They also sell by the slice & itās a generous slice for almost $8 so kudos on not only being good but reasonably priced!
