Order my cake in a timely manner and pick up at the agreed time. However the cake was not what I order and it look like they did the bare minimum. I will not be ordering any more cakes from here.

SusieCakes makes amazingly tasty baked goods! The presentation is nice and it's high quality. The strawberry cupcake was yummy. The cookies were not bad. I get that it's located in downtown Lafayette and they use good ingredients, so I guess I'm not surprised about the high prices. I'd probably come back if I were in the area, but wouldn't necessarily go out of my way.

Worst Customer Service Ever. Had my mom go pick up some cupcakes that were preordered from Friday to Sunday for my sisters birthday not only were they hostile to her but they did not even get the order right. This was the only time this happened. The comment made to my mother was not okay telling her if she ordered them at Safeway was out of line and whoever it was hope you are pleased with yourself. I ordered 1 blue and 1 pink not a big deal both tast the same but that on top of the the rude worker, 1/10 experience.

Got a bday cake here, and oh my lord this is the most sugary thing I have ever eaten in my life.I think three quarters of this cake is made of pure sugar. I forced myself to have three bites and my husband didn't finish his small piece either. I think we have to throw the rest away.If they can cut the sugar in half, it'll be a better cake. Come on Americans, try to bake with less sugar and you'll find a whole new world that's tastier and healthier.Absolutely not recommend unless you want diabetes

Read great reviews about how delicious the carrot cake was and boy did Susie's not disappoint. I would say one of the best carrot cakes I've ever had. The cake was moist and the frosting was to die for! I also ordered their seasonal Whoopie pies and again WOW! I regret not buying more! Service was great! I will definitely be going back.

We went to their Lafayette shop today and brought two cakes. One chocolate and one red velvet, both were the small cakes and total for both was over $100.00. After dinner, we cut both cakes and the chocolate cake was terrible. It was not fresh and tasted worst than the one we could have gotten at Costco.The red velvet cake was okay but not worth $50.00. Needless to say there are much better cakes with other bakeries. This is the last time we will visit them.

Lady serving the cake and boxing was super rude to me and my wife. She told us that she dropped our cake and it got messed up, and wasnt sure if we wanted another one… then I responded with “Yes we would like another cake”. Then she very disrespectfully tells us “well thats fine, I can just give this free cake to someone else, I have no problem with that”. This was confusing to us because she never once told us that she was going to give us the messed up cake plus another new cake… she was the one that asked the confusing question, without giving all the relevant details. That lady servicing the cakes on 12/16/2023, has poor communication skills and might need customer service training. As a long time customer, I don’t appreciate her condescending rude remarks.0/10 would not recommend.

This place is disgusting. Got a cake here frozen. Tastes stale and too sugary. The sugar was still granulated.

First time ordering: Presentation was beautiful. Some of the cupcakes were very dry compared to others. I assumed they probably were a day old since we were told not to keep in the refrigerator or they would dry out. Also, too much frosting - way over the top which made it too sweet. I asked to pick up the order a little early and that was not an option. Make sure you chose the correct time of pickup. ;)
The chocolate chips are delicious and so are the cupcakes. My favorite is the red velvet. I have also tried their key lime pie, and that is also delicious! My only knock off is that they don't take cash. Over all tasty sweets.

Omg the old fashioned chocolate cake is perfect, exactly like my mom makes. We have ordered it twice and it is perfection and the new favorite of my entire household. The store is super cute and their cakes are beautiful!

Not a cake person but if I’m near a location, I make the exception for SusieCakes! Our favorite flavors are vanilla celebration, lemon, carrot & chocolate marble! They also sell by the slice & it’s a generous slice for almost $8 so kudos on not only being good but reasonably priced!

I've visited this location and left with nothing the last three times in a row based on their lack of full menu/variety. They should bring back frosted sugar cookies on a regular basis. They say they offer them seasonally, but it seems to be randomly decided (not aligned to all holidays). Inconsistent menus don't make for good businesses.
