My son and I were very late to lunch due to his game starting late. The staff was wonderful helping my wife, mother in law and my other son with food and drinks until we arrived. They didn't rush anyone. Really fantastic, thank you so much.
Great open space and nice ambiance. Great brunch place for outdoor and semi-outdoor seatings.
Appetizers took so long to come. Entrees arrived slow and not at the same time. My daughter's filet was rare and she didn't ask for it to be cooked that way. The server never asked how the food was. We were celebrating a birthday and a dessert arrived which was nice but server never asked if anyone else wanted a dessert. Very disappointing.
The noise level was over-the-top, but to be expected on a Saturday night. Too bad I coud barely hear my friend and dinner companion. And my food was cold - fish tacos. Not good.
We booked our reservation at the last minute because the wait time at the Original Joe's was 4 hours! We've dined at Cooperage before but quality of food and service seemed to have declined since moving from Lafayette to Walnut Creek. Took a long time to get our entree.... The ahi tartar was delicious for an appetizer. My husband liked his filet mignon. My steak frites was dry and the French fries were dry as well. Not sure I will return for awhile.
We celebrated my mom's birthday at The Cooperage with a group of 12, and everything was great. The service was excellent — friendly and attentive — and the food was very good. The tuna tartar and shaved Brussels sprouts appetizers were standouts. Perfect spot for a celebration
Made a reservations for a party of 6 @ 10 am (opening) on a recent Saturday morning. We were seated promptly and large front windows opened to the fresh air of a beautiful No Cal Fall day. It seemed like our server was covering more than her share of tables, maybe someone called out sick? Regardless, the service was very good, and she was quite pleasant and attentive. Everyone's meals were delicious, very fresh and well prepared. Our party enjoyed the Mushroom Omelet, Short Rib Hash, Avocado Toast and Egg and Salmon Benedict. Our thanks to The Cooperage for a lovely meal, we'll be back!
We came there as a family of 6 on a Friday night. The place is super loud, we couldn't hear each other. Food was ok and service so so.
Everyone enjoyed their meals. The hangar steak was medium rare and on point. Another had the burger with Brie and avocado. Also cooked to perfection. We will be back.
Good food but expensive for an experience that was not outstanding. Loud and hard to hear the person sitting next to me.

Great vibe-crowded and bustling! Wanted to try everything on the menu. Will for sure be back.
Sandy was amazing, I really enjoyed her service level and attitude. The hostess was awesome and very helpful getting the TV turned to the Playoffs Yankee Game.
Music was too loud on outdoor patio. We were there from 5:30 - 7:30. It did get better later in evening. Also I put on Open table reservation that it was a birthday celebration but no one recognized that. Food was great.
First time trying this place. It was a game afternoon, but surprisingly not too busy for a Sunday. We skipped appetizers and went straight for the entrées.
Our group ordered the fried chicken sandwich, Ahi tuna burger, regular burger, and shrimp & grits. Most dishes were good, but I had to return the fried chicken sandwich—it was overly burnt and tasted like it had been fried in old oil. I swapped it for the Cooper Girl, which turned out to be excellent. Service was okay, but not particularly outstanding.

This was our first time here. We sat at the bar and Sandy took extremely good care of us. Even though she was pretty busy, she seemed very relaxed and confident and personable. She knew exactly when to appear and when to give us a minute. We were extremely happy with the hospitality that she provided. I ordered the fried chicken which was pretty good but could have used more seasoning. The mashed potatoes were delicious but because everything was so rich, it was begging for a mound of coleslaw on the plate, not just a smattering on top of the potatoes. I’m extremely grateful that Sandy asked if I would like the sweet sauce that it comes with to be on the side. Truthfully, it looked and tasted like a small pitcher of karo syrup. I had a tiny taste and was done. No bueno! My husband had the fish tacos and he said that they were just okay. Needed seasoning. The atmosphere is good and it’s located in the beautiful Broadway Plaza and you can park for free in a nearby parking garage. I would try it again, maybe for a burger.
