Really enjoyed the vibe here. Solid American menu, good portion sizes, and well-made cocktails. Service was quick and attentive. Would definitely come back.

I got the breakfast burrito with apple sausage and tater tots. It was good, not $23 good though. Theres also a mandatory 3% gratuity added to all dishes which is my first time ever seeing that. Found it odd. Glad we got a reservation because it was definitely popping on a Sunday afternoon. Parking was packed but we got lucky.

Pretty average. Food was ok, wine list was book about a year ago and now a side note on a drink list, the bar is saving this restaurant.

Ordered Shrimp & Grits... I think they ran out of grits, (for such a large serving bowl/dish) there was a smidgen of grits. I don't dislike red sauces/ bases...however, if you order this dish you need to be a huge fan of red sauces/bases. The flavor was good and savory, the shrimp and sausage were cooked perfectly.

Amazing food and service! So glad we were recommended this spot, their prawn tacos, blackened salmon and clam linguine were all delicious. Can’t wait to come back!

We celebrated a birthday for brunch here recently, and while the food was mostly good, the service was sub par. First, they got one of our orders completely wrong - we ordered the shrimp and grits with no roasted tomato, yet it came covered in tomato sauce and they continued to say there was no tomato. So we sent it back. There were a few items we requested, like salt and pepper, an extra place setting, that we had to ask for multiple times.

Next, we let them know it was a birthday but when they brought the desserts there was no candle or anything special. Then, as we were wrapping up, a woman came and rudely told us the next party was here for the table, implying that we needed to leave. As we were leaving the restaurant, we noticed 2 signs in the front - one that said every table must limit their dining experience to two hours. We had been there a little over an hour and a half when she told us it was time to go. The second sign said they apply a 3% hospitality charge to every bill... So just a hidden charge for not very good service?

Overall, a disappointing experience.

Delicious! You have to love that the owner is fully involved - bartending and mingling with the crowd. Mussels and salad was delicious - chicken pot pie a bit too creamy but delicious otherwise. Enough TVs in bar area to enjoy the Warriors game.

A very nice place I ended up in by accident on a Sunday night. The appetizers were very good (chicken wings, Brussels sprouts and polenta meatballs in particular), the cocktails were perfect.

Halibut of one of the main courses was a tad dry.

I was taken to this restaurant by two dear friends to celebrate my ordainment and initially the evening was going well. The server JP was very attentive, courteous and professional. He explained what the specials were and provided great service. Unfortunately, the evening was tremendously dampened when our table was approached by a woman who didn’t introduce herself and decided that in spite of the fact that there were two empty chairs to our left and right, it was necessary to remove our coat and purse that was occupying the empty chair at our table and those items were placed in the seating beside me along the cushioned bench and she proceeded to take our chair and provide it to another table. Although we were perplexed by this we carried on with our evening. Our food was served and we ate and had the remainder boxed
to go and decided to have desert. As we sat sharing our Tiramisu and Chocolate cake, the same rude unidentified woman approached our table for the second time and rudely asked us if we were taking our deserts to go, my friend who was paying for the evening informed her that she had just given our server her card to pay and the rude woman said, “Ok, because we’re going to need this table shortly.” and sauntered off. My friends who have patronized this establishment several times were stunned and both said that they had never been approached in this manner before and needless to say, I was utterly flabbergasted. I have no intention of ever returning to this restaurant because of this so-called hostess. There’s a right way and a wrong way to do anything and the way that woman treated us was disrespectful, rude and very inconsiderate. She certainly didn’t represent this establishment in a good way and left a very bitter taste in my mouth. Aside from her terrible antics, the food was fine but she dampened an otherwise lovely evening for myself and my friends and didn’t represent the Hideout Kitchen in a good way at all. For service I rate JP a five star, however the so-called hostess’s antics makes the overall rating two stars for service and she ruined the atmosphere, so I give that a one star.

I’m in love 🥰 with this restaurant. The lamb dish was mind blowing with amazing flavors. Can’t wait to try more dishes. I don’t recommend the tiramisu though 🥲
