So very sorry this restaurant has closed. There will never be another restaurant so generous in their serving of shrimp on top of their delicious salads. They had the best shrimp salads ever!!! They had the best fish and chips, as well! They had the best everything! Now I'm on a hunt for a good fish restaurant in Lafayette, Ca. I can't seem to find any. My husband, daughter, and my cousin and her husband are so devastated this restaurant has closed. It cannot be the sales like reported, because we were there all the time, the place was always packed. Maybe the rent, this I could believe! We are aiming to find another restaurant like YANKEE Pier in Lafayette...so far, nothing. So very sad YANKEE Pier is closed. The servers, the host and hostess, the cooks, we'll miss everyone! Wish I knew where they ended up. Anyways, YANKEE Pier will be sorely missed by us. It was definitely one of our favorite restaurants!!!

The service was always professional and just right. This was one of the most dependable places around for seafood. Thank you for all the great meals, Yankee Pier. You will be missed.

We found ourselves alone on Thanksgiving for the first time in many years and I got an email from Yankee Pier inviting us to join them for a three-course Prix-fixe Thanksgiving meal so we decided to try it. We love YP for their seafood, but we weren't quite sure about going for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. True to form, Yankee Pier met all of our expectations! From the moment we were greeted to the time we paid our check, the staff was inviting, engaged and attentive. For our first course, we had clam chowder and fried calamari. We enjoyed both! Our second course was mashed potatoes, yams, stuffing and a generous portion of turkey with cranberry sauce. It was moist and delicious! Our dessert was apple cranberry crisp and pumpkin bread pudding. They were a delightful end to our great meal. We enjoyed Absolute Martinis along the way and the bartender nailed it. it was great to see that Yankee Pier could rise to the occasion and deliver a dinner that normally wouldn't be in their wheelhouse, but it shows the versatility of the team and their ability to create fabulous dishes in many realms! Highly recommend YP!

Had a wonderful evening with my husband here, started of with some calamari (crispy to perfection) and enjoyed a yankee salad between the two of us. My husband got the seafood pasta as his entree (that had just the right amount of spice) and I had the sole with Yukon potatoes, spinach topped with lemon caper sauce. Absolutely delicious!! And to top off the amazing food, our server Cicely was such a delight. We will most definitely be back!

I have been to Yankee Pier on a few occasions before but this visit was worth commenting on. I went in solo this past Monday night and opted to sit at the bar/counter. I was greeted by the bartender Jamie who welcomed me and instantly began to provide service. I like to go with staff recommendations and Jamie covered the food and beverage specials with great knowledge. I opted for wine that she suggested and ordered fish also at her suggestion. Everything was delicious. Jamie kept checking up on me making sure I was well served and appeared to be treating all the patrons with the same level of attention. If you go to Yankee Pier, sit in Jamie's section if possible. She will make your visit even more memorable.

I enjoy Yankee's tasty craft cocktails and wine selections as well as the assortment of fresh seafood. Their popcorn shrimp is amazing! A Caesar served with grilled salmon or the seafood pasta is my go-to! The staff is always friendly and welcoming. Mallory, in particular, gave wonderful and attentive service, very cheerful, and has much knowledge of the wine list I was impressed. I would stop by if you're in Lafayette for a scrumptious seafood lunch or dinner!

This place was recommended to me by friends while I had some business in Walnut Creek. Even with all the places to eat in Walnut Creek, I am so happy I made the short drive to Lafayette. This gem of a restaurant does food right. High quality seafood with very complimenting flavors and a great selection of wine. I was greeted promptly by Josh who is probably the friendliest and most welcoming manager I have ever met. My business partner and I ordered the Lobster Roll (spectacular), the popcorn shrimp appetizer (best I've had) and the scallops (big ol' juicy scallops). When Josh came back to check on us after our dinner, he recommended the Butterscotch Pudding and my god was that a good recommendation, fantastic. I highly recommend this place for people looking for a great place to have a business lunch or to impress a first date. And a special thanks to Josh for making our experience so great. We will be back!

Hostess seemed to favor certain races. We casually asked to be seated. The Hostess seemed to be bothered and annoyed by our presence. She was straight faced and repeated our requests back to us. At first we gave her the benefit of the doubt and thought she was having a bad day. Until, we noticed our guests who happened to be white were greeted with a wide smile and complements. After this unfortunate be experience, Food was great, but I feel personally discouraged to return.
Shrimp tacos were awesome! Chile lime rice and beans were perfect! Service was on point and prompt. Would definitely recommend and return in the future.

Nice little sea food restaurant in the neighborhood. Service was excellent. Manager and staff were friendly but food was just okay. Flavor was basic, nothing very robust or exciting. The restaurant was very clean, organized, well managed. I didn't think the food stood out too much in my opinion. I do like that they have a seasonal menu and it changes every so often. Doubt I'll come back just on food alone.

Came here for my moms birthday a couple days ago, and to be honest it was not quiet as good as I remembered. I got the sinful gin drink which was pretty good and my mom got the mai tai which was okay. My little brothers blended raspberry lemonade was delicious. Complementary bread and butter is always nice, and they provided it and the bread was warm :) I ordered the trout which was a little bland, but the rice underneath it was delicious. One of my brothers got the Caesar salad which was okay, and the clam chowder which was hearty and yummy. My other brother ordered the linguine with clams. The clams were good, but the sauce was a little too thin and didn't stick to the pasta. The beet salad was good and tasted very fresh. My friend enjoyed his spicy seafood pasta. Didn't really get a chance to try the others' dishes, but the crust polenta which was a side on my moms dish was good, but needed a little something more. Restaurant was quiet and a little empty, but it was a Tuesday night after all. They were playing the A's game which my family enjoyed. Service was also very friendly!

Disclaimer: I am a vegetarian. With that being said I really love the sides! I will say that the menu is extensive and the fish dishes looked yummy! I really love the polenta and that's what keeps me coming back. I usually get a couple sides to go with it. The sides are seasonal which I like. I was super happy to learn they have Fieldworks beer on tap! That is my favorite brewery and I always love when places have local brewing companies. Cute outside area and great location!
