I love going to 230 Forest, the food is always consistently delicious!! We had the halibut and pork chop and a side of brussel sprouts. I got to say, the pistachios in the bru sprouts were next level and highly recommended. I've had our server Chris the last 3 times I've been here and he's awesome!! 5 star service if you're lucky enough to get him. The price point, service and ambience combined make 230 Forrest a really good value. I'll be coming back again. Highly recommend. ✅

Went here for my birthday. Made a note on the reservation that we were celebrating my birthday. The table next to ours got a birthday dessert with a candle, but I did not. Don't know why. We spent close to $200 but we were still hungry when we left. Probably won't go back or recommend to anybody else.

My husband and I came here for the first time yesterday. We ate dinner outside- service (kudos to Jorge) was very attentive and excellent. The ahi tuna appetizer, Parker house rolls, halibut entree special and spicy ahi tuna entree were all perfectly prepared and delicious. Profiteroles dessert was quite good. Atmosphere was casual and relaxed - the location is in an area that is closed to automobile traffic, so quiet and conducive to conversation. Great experience - we will definitely come back. We had an early reservation at 5 pm, so were able to get a parking spot in Lot 2 nearby.

230 Forest St. in Laguna Beach is one of our favorite restaurants in Orange County. We braved the traffic and parking since it is always worth the extra effort. Located on pedestrian street in heart of Laguna, this place serves very high quality food at reasonable prices and the ambiance is always great even on a busy Sunday in July. Service was also excellent and people watching a plus. Highly recommend 230 Forest as we have been going for well over 10 years and very consistently good. My wife recommends the salmon salad(the best salmon she has had) and I have had most everything else on the menu. Went simple with the fried chicken sandwich this time.

Never disappoints ! Great seasoned waiters and fresh menu! The grilled artichoke is a 10 and the halibut and fish stew a must!! Have been going to this restaurant since they opened many years ago ! 20 I believe !
Our waiter out on the patio was fantastic. Knew the menu, very good at keeping our table clean and fresh silverware. And just pleasant attentive without being disrupting.

Went on a Sat night around 6 ish…. Asked for table for 2… guy with the beard said no tables… full with res…. At least 10-12 table open… went next door… over the next hour at least 6-10 tables stayed open…. Musta been my t shirt 🤔

Stopped in for lunch yesterday while my husband was in a meeting, and I ordered the scallops and pistachio crème brûlée. The food was divine and the service was wonderful! It was so good that we came back for dinner so my husband could try both dishes too! We agreed that it is the best scallops and crème brûlée we have ever had! Great job! Can’t wait to visit again!

Wonderful food, wide selection for everyone’s taste buds. Excellent choices for wines, at reasonable prices. We haven’t been here since the Pandemic but it’s as good as it was pre-pandemic. Only reason service was not rated a “five” was because they were very busy, so servers were quite occupied. Couple with us had never been there before, but they said it will be a frequent destination of theirs in the future when they dine in Laguna. We will be returning again within next month or so, and we live in San Diego county. Among our favorite were the Kung Pao calamari and the Ricotta Crostini.
