We ordered the daily special which was sole, the salmon dinner, the French onion soup and prime rib sandwich. Everything was excellent!! Very nice, professional waiter too. Excellent experience for my husband's birthday celebration.

This is a gem of a spot in Laguna. Great location. The rector on is friendly as are the staff. They were very accommodating and the service was good. We had the chicken sandwich and the special Petra sole. The sole was so delicious. I highly recommend it. Just a great experience.

First time visiting this restaurant and I feel like we missed out over the years that we have visited Laguna so many times before. What a gem, the food and service were wonderful. It is my new favorite place. Cannot wait to visit again.

First time eating at here. It exceeded our expectations. Our server was pleasant, friendly and took care of us. The food was amazing. I had the scallops. Best I've ever had. Tender and moist and very flavorful. The sweet corn risotto was delicious. My husband had the chopino. He said it contained the most fish he's ever seen and the flavor was fantastic. For desert, we had the croissant bread pudding. All I can say is YUM. We will definitely be going back.

Sat at the bar, fabulous bartender/waitress. Food was delicious. I got the bacon wrapped dates, homemade ricotta & chicken Milanese. Chocolate crossiant bread pudding for dessert. Everything was 10/10. Wish I lived here and could frequent. Definitely will be back.

We were very disappointed. The restaurant was very crowded and noisy. The service was quite slow. We had tickets to the theater and almost missed getting there in time. The worst thing though was that one of our group had her wallet and all of her credit cards stolen while sitting at dinner. When she notified the restaurant that this robbery had taken place, they could not have cared less. We absolutely will not go back.

Always great food. Try the pork chop and Mac n. Cheese with crab. Great food and dog friendly

We have eaten several times at 230 and have never been disappointed-outstanding meals served in a lovely outdoor setting. My wife had the chowder and I had the cioppino with lobster - both at the top of our favorites list and not to be missed. Try this restaurant for a hearty lunch and you will not be disappointed.

Shame on this restaurant for resting on its laurels. Once considered one of the better restaurants in Laguna, we had a meal that made Taco Bell look like an upscale restaurant. the truffle fries were good, but not as good as McDonald's french fries and they used small leftover pieces. The calamari was gross. Overly spicy and not cooked properly. Two of us had added chicken to our salads. The salads were completely overdressed, and the chicken was so rubbery two of us did not eat the remainder of our meal. To their credit when we told the waiter they refunded the two dinners and yet the bill still came to $150 for two people with no drink drinks. Both of the people eating the chicken and the calamari had stomach issues later that night so one of those two items was the culprit. The service was friendly, but the waiter came and just stood at our table until we ordered, creating an imposing presence rather than checking in and leaving until we were done talking. I am a local and would be hard-pressed to ever go back to this restaurant again. I asked to speak to the chef and was told he had already left, and it was 8:30 PM on a Friday night. the waiter admitted that there were problems with the chicken in the past and yet they never did anything to rectify it. It was the most rubbery, tasteless chicken I've ever experienced. This place was half empty on a Friday night now the tourists have gone so they either need to pull it together or depend upon the tourist season.

Always excellent. One of our go to places in Laguna. Sit on the patio if possible. Great ambience and outdoor dining. The menu is fantastic. I had the pork for the first time and it was great. Service as always excellent

Good not great . Lamb had to be sent back. Salad was good/basic and Nicks has a much better butter cake. Will probably not be back unfortunately.

Food is good, service is awful. We’re locals and have loved this place for years, but the hostess and manager(who I’m assuming is Lucy after reading these other bad reviews) were extremely rude when I politely asked about the wait and booked a reservation after being told the time. Most restaurants would gladly honor that, but instead I was made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. After a long day, all I wanted was a nice meal and a friendly smile. A simple “we are working on a table thanks for patiently waiting” would have gone a longgg way
