The music was loud and the chairs rusted and uncomfortable. You order your food, pay, get your own water and then seat yourself. They didn't have lamb for pita lamb, saw one waiter eat the French fries out a plate before serving it and a waitress was eating her meal on the counter where the prepared plates were set. We got the chicken pita and the cucumber salad with added chicken, and a slice of bread on the side. The food was good but we won't be going here again.
Really cute spot with a limited breakfast/ lunch menu. My husband got the breakfast burrito and it was okay, my egg sandwich was fantastic. Not really worth driving to, but a cute place to walk to if you're in the area.
It doesn't get more Cali than this sunny, happy, grungy squad rally point in South Laguna. Creative comfort food, nice cocktail list, vibey patio. Separate counter -based order points for food and drinks are needlessly quirky but somehow add to the house party mood. Helen's next door is a Brady Bunch meets Bungalow gem of a speakeasy where you can drag eat after you order.
