We ordered a custom omelette with jalapeño, mushroom and red pepper, but they changed the order and gave us onions and green onions. Please double check the breakfast orders!
Had breakfast at Cafe Heidelberg and honestly, it was a disappointment. My girlfriend got the French toast — that was the only saving grace. It was legit delicious: crispy edges, soft center, super flavorful. The two sausages were fine, nothing special.
I got the Surfer’s Burrito and it sucked. Looked big but was mostly hash browns and refried beans. Barely any egg. Just felt like cheap filler to make it look full. The hash brown inside was soggy and weird, and I ended up tearing off tortilla and skipping half of it. Not enjoyable.
Only other highlight was the orange juice — freshly squeezed and you could taste it. Honestly the OJ was better than my whole burrito.
On top of that, seating is cramped and the whole place feels tight and awkward. Not a comfortable spot to eat, especially when it’s busy.
We paid $44 for one solid dish, a bad burrito, two sausages, and a small OJ. Total ripoff. Laguna Beach or not, this place is way overpriced for what it is.
Come for the French toast and the OJ — skip everything else.
We just visited Monday , Tuesday and Wednesday Laguna beach and we stop at this coffee shop and instantly fell in love! Wonderful food, drinks my chai tea latte is one of the best I ever had!!!! Great service and atmosphere! If you are visiting Laguna please stop by this amazing coffee shop!
I always get the lavender vanilla latte and the cheese pocket pastry. So delicious!
Food was great, everyone enjoyed their orders, tables can be a struggle to get, but the food is worth it. Prices aren’t too bad. We will visit again.
Our go to coffee daily! Opal and the team are always in a good mood. Customers are happy the food is fantastic and killer location on the corner of highway 1
Thanks for the morning vibe and the daily cup of Joe

We are a breakfast family. That is our favorite meal. With that being said, this breakfast is in our top 3 of all time. The huevos rancheros were a 10 out of 10! The coffee was extremely tasty too. The staff was very pleasant and on top of it!

Eggs were terrible (how do you ruin eggs?) tasted chemically. Chicken/turkey sausage was terrible—weird taste and cold. Service and atmosphere was great!

You can have a good breakfast here. I had 2 eggs with just a slice of toast with some jam. That's not enough for the price of $15. But everything tasted very good and the coffee was good too.

Great cafe to checkout when visiting Laguna. I order the spinach and feta pastry with fresh delicious orange juice. It was amazingly yum. They have a cute patio where you can seat down to eat and relax. Definitely stopping by again when in town.

Very nice staff waited on us. The breakfast burrito was good as well as the Swiss oatmeal & coffee. A little pricey but what isn’t anymore. I would recommend for breakfast.
