We loved our experience at Larson's! The view was absolutely amazing, the food was delicious, and our server Cristo truly made the entire experience unforgettable. He gave excellent recommendations for both our meals and drinks, and everything he suggested was spot-on. Cristo made us and even the tables next to us feel so welcomed and relaxed, which really added to the overall vibe of the evening. The ambiance was wonderful, and we can't recommend this place enough. If you visit Larson's, definitely ask for Cristo, you won't be disappointed!

I never write reviews but this was the worst dining experience I've ever had to felt compelled. We had dinner as a group of 10 on a Saturday night. Our waiter was extremely inattentive, the food was mediocre at best, and the music was so loud from the DJ that we couldn't hear each other talk at 7pm. It took an entire hour to get 2 bottles of wine and that was after 30 minutes of no one coming to our table. He brought the wrong bottle of wine at first too so we had to wait longer for him to bring out the correct one. This was after being told that the original one we ordered was not available. Any time we needed something we had to flag someone down. When we asked to order our meals after 45 minutes of being there we were told that he was not ready to take our food orders yet. The waiter asked if it was one of our birthdays and we said it was so he brought a piece of chocolate cake out at the end without us asking and then added it to our bill. They also poured us bottled water without asking if we wanted bottles and then added that to the bill as well. The wait staff was good but I expected way more from a restaurant that charges $50 for an entree. They ended up taking off the chocolate cake and waters but only after we had to ask them to. There was no apologies for the poor service, which would have went a long way. I also paid a $100 deposit for the reservation and it was not taken off my total bill so I had to go back the next day to ask for it to be refunded. I will never be coming back here and could not recommend against it more. Go somewhere else in a city with way better options! We were severely disappointed.

What a delightful view and our waitress, Josie, was also a delight! The Avocado cocktail was so amazing I think I had 4 and the appetizers were delightful!

I am normally a fan of Larsen in Laguna Beach. You can't ask for a better setting in town. We got to dinner at Sunset and it was amazing and we had a beautiful table. We had a very nice server and we had great appetizers and then when it was time to order dinner, I asked if the chef cooked on the rare side and I was told no he cooked spot on. We ordered two medium filet mignon and the third was a medium rare, and all of them came out, absolutely rare. We had to return them with the acknowledgment of our server. All three came back and one of them was sufficient for my wife to eat as a medium rare although I thought it looked rare. The other two steaks were rare and had to be refired again. They brought out now the third steak and again they were rare. We wound up eating them because we didn't wanna wait any longer, but even the manager agreed that they were rare. It's really unfortunate. They did take the steaks off of the bill however it was disappointing overall. Sorry to say I don't think we're going to be going back anytime soon.
