Had the prefixe brunch. Really lovely, just wished they offered lighter mains since it's so much food and more “brunch” type food. It was definitely breakfast leaning
We had an excellent lunch after walking around Laguna Beach for the morning. We highly recommend Las Brisas.
Las Brisas is a great restaurant purched up on a cliff, overlooking laguna. The view is absolutely breathtaking and the service is top notch. The food is ok.
You're on the ocean and can listen to the waves Lived here 25 years and this was my first time and last time. Waiter was very nice and professional. Food was very pricey, limited menu, lacked common choices like tacos and quesadillas. My chopped salad was cucumbers with 7 pieces of chicken. Sat outside and chairs were rickety. Good Place for a drink.
Table side guacamole was not table side just a bowl set on table squash tamales like baby food kinda nasty Ellen's over fried. View great service very good food quality very poor
Four course “prix fixe” menu. We attended on my 75th birthday. We added bottomless mimosas to our order. The atmosphere was elegant and the food was very good. The service was outstanding.
Very surprised that the service at Las Brisas was so poor. Definitely a management call! The poor staff tried to keep up but I could see they were overwhelmed.
Great experience, food and menu were very average. The service was great, at the table and the bar. The views are why you are there.
We were recommended to go here by our hotel an s thrilled we took the bait! Awesome experience. The butter poached lobster was one of the best flavor experiences ever and the shrimp house dish was so perfect. Both very filling and exactly what we were craving. We were able to sit right by the ocean view outside and couldn't have asked for a better dining, service or view experience! Don't believe the folks that are saying it isn't flavorful. It is truly superb. Try it!!!
We live near Del Mar, yet we drove over an hour to go to this fine beachfront restaurant. Well worth the trip. We will be going back for special occasions...

Outdoor seating was lovely. Once the sun set they had very little lighting so it was hard to see our food. Lol Great service and good food. Solid place
This staff attempted to steal my 16 year old daughter's purse. We had two tables outside, one for the kids and one for the adults. We had dinner at 7:45. We were one of the final tables to leave the restaurant. My daughter accidentally left her purse on the back of her chair. She noticed once we sat in the car. At that point, we ran back to the table, and on the way the other patrons asked if we left a purse and stated they saw it on the chair. Once we got back to the table the purse was gone. We asked all staff if they've seen the purse and they acted naive. We searched the outside patio as every patron was gone and only staff was cleaning up. We then ask for the manger on duty and explain the situation. They start speaking Spanish and out of the blue this staff randomly pulls the purse out of a hedge as if the purse was intentionally hidden for one of the staff to take home later. This place is absolutely awful. Poor ethics and zero leadership.
Service was a little slow, the server was very reluctant to appease my vegetarian desires. Not my normal experience at this excellent restaurant.
The service along with the food was underwhelming compared to other spots in and around the area. They didn't offer to change our cutlery between courses & if you do the unlimited mimosas they wait quite a while to bring it. There's 2 terraces & we were seated on the least pleasant. After we paid we went for a walk & noticed that the nicer terrace which had tablecloths & nicer views seemed to be saved for certain clientele. The food was distinctly average & we have had much nicer brunches elsewhere in the area. It's over priced, we wouldn't visit again! It promised more than it delivered . $170 for 2 food was so average!
I looove Brisas. The food is pricey, but delicious and with good sized portions. They also tend to be very busy on weekend evenings and parking can be tough (they have a small valet lot that fills up quickly) so I recommend arriving early for your reservation. The ambience and ocean views can't be beat, and service is excellent.
