This isn't your typical surf shack joint. Typical beach cafes don't serve beef short rib sandwiches. Much of their menu is a step above what you'd likely be expecting from a location like this. From the outside it looks unassuming and familiar. You walk up, order, find a spot and grub. As far as I can tell, you don't need shoes or a shirt just an appetite. It's not refined or snoody, it's just damn good.They season their chips. The lowly give-away that most places serve stale as low-cost hunger appeasement filler, is done fresh and treated with care. Putting forth effort into making the most basic parts of the menu delicious means they really want everything they put out to be delicious. The thought and care behind the quality of their items is often sought but rarely found. Also, the salsa with their chips is really bomb.You can't go wrong with the BBQ short rib sandwich, chowder fries, or fresh ceviche.

Great place to eat by the beach in Laguna Beach. They have great food and they are reasonably priced. It gets busy in the morning as everyone wants to grab breakfast and coffee to watch the beautiful view of the sea. There is paid parking lot and restrooms as well. Highly recommend this location in Laguna Beach.
