The Lumberyard has the best Cobb salad hands down. The lettuce is shredded so it's a lot easier to eat. We had lunch before a Laguna Playhouse performance and the Cobb was $16.00. The regular price was $24.00. All three of us had the salad; mine without the egg, another with Feta substituted for Blue Cheese and the final one as on the menu. Highly recommend Lumberyard. They also have a large U shaped bar and three big tv screens.

The Lumberyard is a very impressive restaurant. We visit Laguna Beach often and have never been to this place right off PCH. The food was excellent, and the drinks were inventive and delectable! The service and atmosphere were inviting. We will definitely return soon!

I have some health issues that prevent me from eating a large meal. My husband and I made a reservation for The Lumberyard because we didn't want a large meal on Thanksgiving Day. When I made the reservation, there was no indication that the only menu available that day would be a three course $85 prix fixe thanksgiving dinner.We only discovered this after ordering wine. After deciding to leave, we spoke with our server, who was very unsympathetic. She made no apology for the lack of information on the website and seemed very 'put out.' Her manner was not empathetic to our needs—of course, she was losing the 20% tip that was automatically added to every meal. We chose The Lumberyard because it had excellent reviews, but due to the lack of transparency in the booking process and empathy from our server, we will not be going back to sample the food.

I came on the recommendation of a friend who said they had the best hamburgers in town. I ordered the hamburger and I have to agree! The meat is cooked to order. You have your choice of what you want on your burger. In my case, no cheese but avocado instead. And you have your choice of side dishes including french fries, sweet potato fries, and a couple other options I don't recall.
It was a pleasant place to have lunch and I will return 😄
