Place fills up quickly on a Saturday night. We were lucky to find two barstools and watched people playing pool while we waited for band to start. Band was really good, 4 out of 5. Pool players were awful. 1 out of 5. Beer was only $7 a bottle which is not bad for a bar in a tourist town. Bartender was zero personality and added nothing to the experience. 1 out of 5 for him. He didn’t even know the name of the band.

What started as a fun night quickly turned into a disappointing experience. While on the dance floor, someone kept stepping on my foot, and when we politely asked him to stop, things got briefly tense but were resolved calmly between us. Despite that, a bouncer stepped in and immediately kicked us out without even hearing our side or speaking to the other person involved. The way the situation was handled felt completely one-sided and unfair. We left feeling disrespected and unwelcome. We won’t be returning — and we’ll be sharing this experience with our friends.

We had the after party of our wedding here and it was a blast! The staff was on top of everything, even giving us some complementary champagne. The 90s cover band exceeded expectations and there was enough room to lounge or dance to your heart's desire. Best bar in Laguna!

I was recommended to visit this place by a local friend and had high hopes. The atmosphere was good and I even enjoyed the classic rock band that was playing June 7th even though I had the dates wrong for the live music since the website still had the calendar from May and I was expecting reggae. There were a lot of people which was a good sign and I even started chatting with a couple of girls at the bar while I was waiting for the bartender. When the bartender arrived she approached the girls next to me and asked me for their order. The girls nicely said that I had been waiting longer and to take my order. The bartender then looked at me and waved at me dismissively while turning back to the girls to place their order. There was an awkward moment because even the girls noticed how rude that was before they proceeded with their order. Finally I was asked for my order and I placed a Suero (a common Mexican non-alcoholic drink). The bartender understandably didn't know the drink so she walked away and asked her coworker to handle it. Fortunately her co-worker knew that the equivalent drink was a Pepino and gave it to me for free. Thanks to him that order ended positively but unfortunately that bartender really rubbed me the wrong way and my first impression of Marine Room is marred by that unpleasant reaction. Other than that it seemed like a fun place but because of that I won't be going back in the near future.

It was a bar my friend and I used to visit frequently. However, when we went again Friday, we ordered 2 cocktails from a staff member named Kaleo M., but 3 cocktails were brought to our table. Despite informing him of the mistake, we were still charged for all 3. At the end of the night, because we didn’t leave a tip, he aggressively approached us and said, ‘Don’t ever come here again,’ in a threatening manner. This kind of behavior and business conduct is completely unacceptable.

Brilliant atmosphere. Sit at the bar or sit by the fire or watch live music in the back. This bar manages to keep things cozy while offering three distinct atmospheres. Easy and comfortable for locals.

Came on for a drink. Bar tender had an attitude and was dismissive. Rolled his eyes after we ordered a vesper. Heard him rudely explain to another customer that he doesn't know what a house whiskey is, then overheard us talking g about our experience with him. Proceeded to yell at me and tell me not to lie and he wpuld take my drink and I can leave. Poor attitude and bad customer service.
Marine room is a staple in Laguna. It can be wonderful and also for the ladies. Sometimes the men there are VERY aggressive. Nothing Marine Room can do about that, just something to know. Most of the time they have a great band. Drinks are fairly priced

Bartender took 20 minutes to even acknowledge my presence at the bar, by that time my wife went to the other end of of the bar and ordered from the other bartender. I get it you may be busy counting you tips and waiting on others... At least acknowledge someone and let them know you at least know their presence. I'm sure you make good enough money slinging drinks but another $30 couldn't hurt?
