Overall it is a great place to eat and drink but was not aware the restaurant was solely outside on the rooftop. Being a cold night, it was not ideal, although they did have a lot of heaters which helped. I did ask if they had blankets, but they did not. Overall, the food was pretty good. We had the seafood platter for 2. It wasn't too bad, but not worth the cost. I would go there again, but it would be during the day, where you can view the ocean and it would be warmer.

I made dinner reservations for the 2 of us for 4:30 to surprise my husband with a rooftop sunset dinner date and when we arrived on time to check-in , we were told there's at least a 45 minute wait despite several tables being open & we were told that those tables were being held for others with reservations . We were then seated inside a room with no ambiance no view and a large party setting was being prepared. This was a total disappointment, we travelled by Uber for an hour to get there, a venue we have been talking about checking out the surprise was ruined and the hostess at Mozambique really didn't seem to care. This place looks cool & they have some great upcoming events we like to give places a second chance so we will go back.

We had three different entrees. The presentation on all of them was great. Very enticing. Big compliments to the chef. Everything was cooked to perfection on all our dinners. The Peri-peri chicken was fantastic and the Prosciutto wrapped scallops were seriously the best ever. And for curry fans, the vegetable curry was also excellent. Quite different from Indian and Japanese curries we are used to. Highly recommended.

It would be great if I'm able to purchase NYE 2026 on Dec 31. I have inquired with the manager and he pretty much said I have to purchase either platinum but it would be great if you have set price where the band was playing yesterday. It was my 1st time there and it was great. I really enjoyed it. I just needed party of 2 3 course meal with New Year's party favors on the table with great DJ

The burger had no lettuce or sauce or even some fries next to it. The fish was ok but something was missing. The service was great by Elliot and other staff at the rooftop. I would never go back again.
This is one of our favorite places to visit in Laguna Beach. They could do well on anyone or of the three pillars, but Mozambique really has it all. The atmosphere, service and food quality are all top notch! See you next time!

An under appreciated venue for sunset dinners and live music. The service here is fantastic and friendly. The food is very good and incorporates some South African favorites with modern favorites on the menu also. Great pricing and value for the location.

Service, atmosphere, and food was great! Kent was a wonderful server and the food was delicious. Unfortunately, during the time to check out, the lunch came to an unexpected turn. Our card was charged in error twice, and I logged into my bank to rectify the misunderstanding and noticed the two charges. Kent immediately took charge and brought Roberto over to solve the situation. Unfortunately, Roberto was completely incompetent in refunding the duplicate charges and told me to solve my own problem on Monday when the bank opened. he told me that, even though I was seeing duplicate charges, he promised he wouldn't finalize them at the end of the night. I asked for a written confirmation of this so that I could confirm with my bank. He refused to provide me written confirmation Unbelievable. I dine out weekly for two decades and never have been treated so disgustingly poor.
