Fantastic Service, ambience!! Delicious food! Went for work lunch for 10 people..lots of attention to detail and meal adaptations when needed. Very prompt.. so impressed by the serving staff and of course the view. Peri Peri Chicken and Bread pudding was my absolute favorite!! Would come back many times!! Highly recommend!! Thank you

We were seated on the roof and made it in time for happy hour. Margaritas $10 were tasty and flat bread and samoas were good appetizers. Salmon and Potk Chop around $20 very tasty and like a decent sized entree. Gregg was our server and he helped with our selection and was fun server! I'll look for him next time. He's our new friend?. We sat on the side table and had ocean view. Street was noisy but ambience made up for it. I'll definitely do that again!

Mozambique in Laguna Beach provides a truly delightful dining experience that goes beyond just good food. The menu is infused with flavorful dishes, each presented beautifully, making every bite a delight. The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for a special night out. What really set our visit apart was the service provided by our server, Greg. His attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and professional service were outstanding and truly deserving of a five-star rating. It’s a must-visit spot for anyone looking to enjoy a fantastic meal in a beautiful setting.

The restaurant was very crowded on a Saturday night in late April but seating with a reservation was quick... though not in preferred room of restaurant. I booked reservation a morning nth in advance and called the afternoon on the day of reservation but the team wasn't willing to work with any requests. We were seated outside and that helped in combo with busy night meant our food was cold. Generally the food is quite good with excellent spices and presentation, but when served cold was disappointing.

My wife and I were celebrating our 36th Anniversary and I chose Mozambique because of the great seafood menu I found on their website. We ordered the Seafood Platter for two and the food was outstanding, as was our waiter Greg. He was terrific and very attentive. He also gave us a free desert to celebrate. The only negative comment I can give was the very vulgar comedian entertainment they had, which caused us to leave earlier than we had planned on. Otherwise I highly recommend the restaurant and will go back.

Amazing atmosphere, amazing food, amazing service! We had a private outdoor rooftop area for our group of 20. Greg was a top notch server who was very knowledgeable about the food and drinks and ready to make a recommendation. The ambiance was classy and comfortable, and had a nod to the African theme. The food was delicious! I had the Durban Curry, which was so tasty. It came with sides to add heat or cool it down and even add an extra sweetness with the banana slices which paired perfectly with the flavors! My husband had the surf and turf which a steak and beautiful lobster, he had no complaints. Even the hummus and pita had a unique flare and was a great appetizer!Great place to take a group or go as a couple, especially for an anniversary; they even have a bar to enjoy solo. Friday night they had a live musician who was excellent! Many from our group danced and he sang and played his own rendition of favorites! A very fun and classy evening!Parking: We parked up one street in a free street parking spot. We left around 10:30 but did receive a notice on our windshield about 10p-6a quiet hours. Not really sure what that meant, and it was not a ticket, just a notice.

Our favorite area is under construction but the downstairs area was still open and the area by the fireplace is nice. The chilean seabass wasn't as good as it usually was, but the oysters and Tuna steak were amazing and we got a nice birthday dessert! Our service was also great!

My girlfriend and I decided to spend a Saturday night at this place, and it was a pleasant experience overall. The food was okay, nothing extraordinary but decent enough to satisfy our hunger. What really stood out was the great view - it added a special touch to our evening. The ambiance was also nice, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for our date night. We both agreed that we'd return again, mainly for the view and the overall vibe. It's a good spot for a casual night out.

Either they are putting in a price increase without incurring the cost of re-printing the menus or they are asking guests to help pay for their remodel with a price increase because the Perri Perri Prawns are only 4 and not 5 and the mgmt puts this on the server to deal with as they “are larger now” and no they are not.

My girlfriend made a reservation for last Saturday night to celebrate my birthday, it was our first time trying Mozambique. This restaurant is the old Tortilla Flats for those who know Laguna so the building is going through some renovations to give it a more African feel. Of course it was crowded, 6:30 on a Saturday night, but they seated us quickly on the upper patio, corner table with a nice view of both the ocean and hillside. I will say that the service was a little slow, but our waiter Israel made up for that with his friendly, accommodating attitude. We started with the portobello stack, definitely enough for two and very tasty. On to the entrees, my girlfriend had the burger cooked to order and I had the seafood curry. Both dishes were flavorful, but the burger came out a little cold. After a few bites, we notified Israel who was very apologetic and brought her a fresh, and very hot burger. We were also given a complimentary birthday bread pudding complete with ice cream, a candle, and a song. All-in-all Mozambique was a pleasant experience that we will definitely do again, thanks Israel!

We loved the outdoor vibe. It was chill and the view was nice as well. When I come back I will only stick with the drinks and appetizers. The food was not that good and over priced.
