We had a fantastic meal, our server was so friendly and informative. It was a nice touch, the chef came by and asked how everything was . The down , nothing against dogs. But to have one in the restaurant, that was not because of a person with a disability was not good . Even worse, the dog owner put his dinner plate on the floor with his leftover's on it so the dog could eat . The dog's presence, then having the dog eating did ruin our experience.( Ambiance) The service and food were good enough to go back .

Great service and great ambiance, but in the end you come for the food and we felt it fell a bit short. Ordered the Fritto Misto (good taste, overly oily), meatballs (good taste, mushy texture), cacio & Pepe (our favorite), and margarita pizza (tasted like something you'd make at a make your own pizza night at home). I realize this may sound a little nit picky, but we just didn't feel like we'd recommend any of the plates to friends or come back for them ourselves.

Our entire party of 8 (1 age 11 and 1 age 14) opted for the 4 course tasting menu. We were blown away by the portion size but even more so by the taste/quality of each dish ordered. Oliver's continues being the premier authentic Italian restaurant in the area - critiqued by this entire Italian family. Thank you for helping to make our evening unforgettable.

This was on our list of many restaurants to try and we finally got the opportunity to and it did not disappoint at all.......every aspect of the experience was amazing.

The tasting menu was four courses that were pretty good. We had a couple fantastic highlights like their squid ink pasta, and risotto. The mains and desserts were okay. One area that needs to be attended to are the gas station like bathrooms near the kitchen. All in all, it was a nice night. I would recommend going with their regular menu.

I was so excited to try this place! The service was absolutely wonderful. I wish I remembered the servers name because he was an absolute delight! The food was lovely not quite five stars, but I would return and give it another try! The lettuce and the Caesar salad was slightly wilted with some brown edges, but still edible. Leino was very good! Clean ingredients prepared very clean as well. Not a lot of heavy oil clean vegetables to accompany the dish. The pasta was good. My only note I prefer a little bit more of a traditional cat Pepe Rather than the but that's just my personal taste. I would certainly return.

This is an amazing restaurant.... We visit Laguna every year and only discovered Oliver's last year. We couldn't wait to come back..same delicious Cacio e Pepe Rigatoni, same great server, wines by the glass that you usually have to buy a whole bottle to enjoy. As an Italian restaurant owner of almost 30 years I cannot recommend Oliver's more highly.

We love dining at Oliver's Osteria! My husband is from Puglia, IT and this is one of the few restaurants he is willing to dine at. We drove 400 miles and it was worth the time. We appreciate the authenticity and use of fresh seafood and method of cooking. No creams, no butter - just extra virgin olive oil :-)

If you like Italian food you're going to LOVE this restaurant. The food is authentic and the service is energetic and fun! We arrived early and started the evening off with a very nice Old Fashioned from the bar and the wines that were paired along with the meal were very nice.

We loved it. We went with some friends. There was 4 of us we all got something different and each person enjoyed their food. We had the bread and burrata appetizer- delish! The bottle of wine we shared was great. The owner/manager? was helping us and he made the experience fun!!! We will be returning!

A wonderful dining experience. Delicious food. Great service. Four of us shared: Caprese al pesto, Fiori di Zucca, Tonnarelli ai Crostacei, Tagliolini Mare e Monti, Filetto, Salmone Puttanesca, Tiramisú and a bottle of wine. A restaurant deserving to be in the Michelin Guide.

Oliver's Osteria in Laguna Beach is one of our new favorite restaurants. The food was delicious - authentic and as described. We were celebrating our anniversary and had been there in the past but it was a much busier experience then. Last night was a much more intimate experience was exactly what we wanted. Our server, Alexio (Allessio?) sorry for poor spelling... was so informative and friendly - attentive but not bothersome in any way. My husband had an old fashion of course, and loved it - and I had a french 75 - perfect. There were many specials (many with Truffle) that were offered but we chose from the menu. We had the Fritto Misto - highly recommend. The red arrabbiata sauce that accompanied had a bit of zip - thank you Chef Eric - also very friendly - and this gave us a glimpse of the flavor perfection to come. I had the Tagliolini Mare e Monti - DELICIOUS - and my husband got the Lasagna Classica which is the best either of us has ever had.... absolute perfection. Servings were generous - and we each had leftovers... can't wait to have them tonight if they make it past lunch ;) - there was some homemade (as is the pasta) - Pinsa Bread that was really good too - and finally, they helped us celebrate with some panna cotta - SO GOOD... we will be back soon - and we are sorry we haven't been a more regular customer all these years... Thank you Oliver's!

Incredible food and service. Most tables are in an outdoor tent which brings the ambiance down a little but it so worth if for the food and also the martini was excellent.
