Papa's tacos for me wasn't that great . I should of ordered tacos, instead I ordered chilaqilles, the chilaqilles had no flavor at all . Same goes with the rice . Tortilla chips were to soggy, growing up eating authentic Mexican food i can say these chilaqilles are not the best . You can be the judge for yourself . Good luck . Stay safe .

They dont have water cups here, agua frescas, and their red salsa is unbearably hot (i can take spice). Burritos are okay, they dont have rolled tacos, they have store-bought taquitos.

Fresh off earning my sailing license at Del Mar Marina — because apparently I’m a man of the sea now — I followed my shipmate Josh’s advice and set course for Papa’s Tacos.
The man did not steer me wrong.
I ordered the tacos al pastor, the mahi mahi, and the carnitas quesadilla — and let me tell you, each bite tasted like it was blessed by Neptune himself. The al pastor had that perfect crispy-sweet edge like it had bartered with fire. The mahi mahi was so fresh I’m pretty sure it still had stories to tell. And the carnitas quesadilla? A slow dance between cheese, pork, and divine intervention.

I really wanted to like this place because of the great reviews and the fact that it's an easy stop after a hike or beach day. But the food was just not good. My carne asada burrito was cold inside. There are a couple of picnic tables next to the restaurant but it can be hard to get a seat.
