This is by far one of the best experiences. My husband and I travel all over the world . My daughter is now attending college in Laguna. We now can say this is one of our favorite spot to eat in the world. The chef prepares everything with precision. The staff is kind . You MUST try Rebel for lunch or dinner !!

Very unique custom style authentic Japanese dishes. They use ingredients that are in season. If you are a picky eater it's not for you, if your not it will be a FANTASTIC delicious experience. Owners are very friendly and welcoming. All courses served at same time so make sure you are there at time of reservation.

Awful restaurant with prejudice and pride The waitress was rude all the time They won't pick up the phone The owner— chef boasted he know all the omakase chef in the world, and forced us to leave the premise with empty stomach, he could have told us he won't serve us. Instead, he fully charged us with only few courses The worst omakase in the world I'm not sure why are you making up facts, maybe to lie to your future customers? I tried ringing you since 3:30pm to let you know I was arriving late due to an unforeseen situation (I have phone records as evidence), no one picked up. Then I proceed to ring you 4 more times with no answer. I arrived at the restaurant at 5:50pm after you finally responded to me via text. Then you proceeded to IGNORE me and force me to wait outside unless I PERSONALLY APOLOGISE to you for being late for another 20minutes. The only thing that's factual in your post is that I finally got to enter the restaurant at 6:10pm. After that you proceed to make me apologise to the chef for being late or you threatened that you no other omakase restaurants would serve me?? I ended up having 7 courses in what was promised a 14 course meal. I never smashed anything, more than happy for you to provide any evidence if you have. Furthermore, you listed me as ‘no show' on my reservation, proceeding to charge me an extra 200$? So now you do admit I did show up? This is more than ridiculous, Luckily I have the evidence or more people would fall for your lies.

Amazing Omakase experience - like no other. The service is indescribable - the most attentive waitstaff ready and willing to answer every question and request. Rebel Omakase is worth every single $$. If you want to treat yourself to a one of kind dining experience try this. Highly recommend going for the lunch - we left extremely satisfied.

We had an amazing experience at Rebel Omakase. The service was outstanding and the food was so fresh and nothing like we had had before. Every course was delicious. We went for a special occasion and we certainly were not disappointed.

This place was amazing. The sushi was so fresh, ambiance was fantastic, and the service was great. We had the whole place to ourselves and they even gave us a bottle of sake for a bday present. Uni was just insane. Way better than some other omakase we had in Beverly hills!!

Chef Jordan is an amazing artist who put together not only breathtakingly beautiful dishes but out of this world tasting food. I absolutely loved every course and there were at least 10 or more. All fish was procured from Japan, and the nigiri was so fresh and bomb no soy sauce was provided nor was it needed. With only 4 customers we really had an awesome dinner getting to know all of them and we had a deep conversation with Chef Jordan. It was dope to hear how he spent a decade and a half learning and experiencing Japanese sushi culture before opening Rebel. Such an elegant night with absolutely delicious and authentic cuisine. Not sure you can get the same Michelin star quality food anywhere else in OC. Highly recommend.

Tucked away in the back streets of Laguna Beach, Rebel Omakase is a high-end sushi restaurant with an exclusive feel. The mirrored windows of the small space reveal nothing from the outside, and the door remains mysteriously locked until your appointed reservation time. Once inside, a dimly lit minimalist aesthetic accentuates the sleek, modernist sushi counter. The number of seats is limited to about 12 people, which adds to the exclusivity and ambiance. The omakase menu, of about 12 courses, is a journey through the art of sushi. It includes a variety of elegantly served seafood and wagyu beef, all cut precisely, ensuring each bite size course is a delightful and manageable experience. The meal started with a stylized salad, followed by sashimi and a soothing clear clam soup that more closely resembled a calming tea.The raw selections, such as bluefin, sea bass, snapper, kampachi, and scallop, were outstanding. While the cooked offerings, including a unique bite-sized stone crab claw served in the shell, and a cup of chawanmushi (a pudding with mushrooms and scallops) brought welcome variety, they were a bit bland. For desert, we were treated to a bite of the luxurious crown melon, followed by some flavorful ice cream. Service is very good, with servers being attentive, but not overbearing. They were appropriately conversational and had good recommendations regarding the drink menu, and were ready to explain any dish that was served. At $200+ per person, excluding drinks, tax, and tip, the experience at Rebel Omakase is about appreciating the well-above-average quality of fish and the solid talents of the chef team. Overall, Rebel Omakase is an interesting refined and modern take on traditional sushi omakase. It is definitely a unique experience.

We went for lunch on a Saturday, there were only 2 other couples at the sushi bar. Service is amazing. I enjoyed everything except the sea urchin (gooey & metallic don't do it for me but my bf liked it). My favorite part was selecting my sake cup; they have the most gorgeous selection. They really set the vibe; It's very dimly lit, the temperature is cool & comfortable- it's a whole experience rather than just eating. I would definitely come back for a special occasion

This omakase restaurant never disappoints. We've been regulars since their opening in 2021. Their service is outstanding, fish is fresh, great presentation and most important to us is the ambience. It is calming, relaxing and peaceful place to enjoy the best meal at the end of the day.

A truly once in a lifetime dining experience. The chefs and support staff were incredible. The choices of unique Japanese food combinations was as if we were in one of Tokyo's finest restaurants. Very pricey but worth it for a special occasion.
