🔥 Must-Visit Cozy Sushi Spot

Loved the cozy atmosphere—perfect for a chilly night! The sushi is top-notch with generous, thick cuts of fresh, soft fish. Service was lightning fast; hot dishes (like the delicious sizzling black cod) arrived with the sushi. The only slight miss was the A5 Wagyu, which was chewy despite its great umami seasoning. Overall: Excellent food, great service, and highly recommended!

We have been here several times now over the last few years and can confidently say this is our favorite sushi in Laguna. The fish is fresh and they have some really unique dishes/bites. Service is amazing as well! 10/10 recommend!

Very bad service. I can’t figure out if we had a server or not. So many employees around. Not sure why. They are focusing on delivery orders. Will not go there again

This Seabutter is located on the 3rd floor above Gina's Pizza and Oak on the main drag in Laguna Beach. The sushi was great and packaged with care. What stood out was the freshness and buttery soft texture of the fish indicating a high quality. Upon picking up the order the cashier was super nice and the inside was very sleek, clean, and modern but still comfortable and beach friendly. The food is nicely boxed so if you want to eat on the go or run just across the street to the beach it travels quite well or if you happen to be walking to your hotel. For the location right on Coast Hwy in the heart of Laguna price seem super reasonable as most spots here are quite pricey. Overall excellent food and service at a favorable value.. combine that with an incredible location with tons of stuff to do and the beach this is a great spot to hit dining in or taking out.

5 stars! Our family and friends all agree—Seabutter is outstanding in every way. The food, service, ambiance, and staff are all exceptional. If you haven’t tried this restaurant yet, you’re truly missing out. A must-try appetizer is their crispy rice with avocado—absolutely delicious!

I ordered delivery from here and the rolls were incredible. I got a spicy tuna roll with salmon and lemon on top. I had a sweet note written on my to go bag and it melted my heart. I really needed it and appreciate it. I will go here from now on!

Yukino is one of the kindest, most hardworking people I’ve ever met. She and the team at Sea Butter Laguna Beach treat me like family every time I visit. The quality of the sushi is amazing, but it’s the warm, welcoming atmosphere that keeps me coming back.

Great staff and customer service! Huy and the manger were extra attempts when we asked to move away from the garage. They accommodated and the experience elevated. Delicious and fresh sushi - so good!

So good. A regular stop when we're in lag beach

Just wanted to share my awesome experience! The place is amazing – they've done a fantastic job with the restoration, it looks incredible. And the food? Seriously delicious! Plus, the staff were all super friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend checking it out!
