Always love the food, atmosphere and views at South of Nick’s! Sat at the bar, service was great. We had a chicken taco meal and their special shrimp plate. A bit expensive with drinks was over $50pp, but worthwhile.

Overall experience was great- our waiter was not overly attentive once he found out we would not be drinking and felt frustrated that we were not ready to order immediately once our final party member arrived. The food was really good and it was a bit noisy initially but quieted a bit as dinner went on.
Incredible experience at South of Nick's! Our server, Juan, was so attentive and kind and made our experience so wonderful. The view is unmatched and it remains our favorite place in Laguna!

Very upscale Mexican inspired menu with pleasant views of the Pacific, if you can get a seat at the bar. Margaritas are too creative and can often stray into Hawaii. Food was excellent as usual. Seating arrangement was awful. The hostess should have used common sense when figuring out seating. We were a party of 3 celebrating a birthday with reservations and she seats us at a high top table in the bar area. This configuration is best suited for 2 people. We had a hard time reaching for the shared chips and conversing since we were basically sitting 3 in a row. Do better host!

I think I’ve been here enough times to leave a good review. Found out about this restaurant through an article about top 10 best margaritas in the OC and they were correct. My favorite place to sit has been at the bar facing the windows and if I can during a sunset is the best! You can stop by just for a drink and appetizers at the bar or I recommend a reservation for dining. Everything I’ve order has not been disappointing! Always great food drinks and service. I enjoy taking friends to this spot. The parking is not great but it’s worth it! You can park in a parking structure and walk over

We've been a longtime patron of Nicks and South of Nicks. Every time service has been awesome and food delicious, however this time the service was mediocre. Our water, iced tea wasn't refilled like it should have been. This was surprising because for years Nicks and South ON's has been on it 100%. My husband and I were honestly shocked. With that being said, it is still considered one of our favorite restaurants and we will return BUT will say something to management should the service be poor like it was last night.

Our server made our experience outstanding this time! he was so helpful. What are my favorite dishes mushroom tacos have been taken off the menu. He talked me into the vegetable tacos and they were outstanding. he was kind very helpful and made our experience even better than normal.
