Tiny, cute tapas spot. We went to see the jazz performers, and the music was excellent. However, two of the servers were dismissive and almost rude. The drinks were just OK, so after one cocktail, we switched to a Spanish white wine, which was good. The tapas were mediocre and definitely overpriced for the portions. The best tapas we had were the cornbread with vegetables and steak. That was very good. The cheesecake was also good, but the portion so small that everyone at the table laughed. The queso fundido and empanadas were bland, the ribs overcooked. We paid almost $400 for 3 cocktails, two glasses of wine, and one beer, and left hungry and disappointed. Had the tapas been better, the servers kind, and the portions larger, we would go back, as the place is cute and the music was great.
Great to try but we unfortunately won't be regulars. The food should have been amazing for the price. Alas.
Great service from our waitress mia! Drinks were on point and every dish we got was terrific - little bit on the pricier side but expected from being in Laguna downtown area
My husband became ill as soon as we arrived home and after dinner (2 hours) so I called Tango to tell them about my husband's reaction to the seafood risotto so they were aware of the situation and could take precaution.. The manager was incredibly rude, dismissive and terribly unprofessional. Our server, Thea, was fantastic. Unfortunately, the food was marginal at best (the seafood risotto seemed toxic) and the manager was imbecilic and way out of his league. While all surrounding restaurants reservations are sold out, Tango's is wide open. I thought it was because it is a fairly new restaurant, but evidently I was terribly wrong. I would highly recommend staying away from this restaurant.
Highlight of our dining experience in Laguna Beach! We were super impressed by all the food that came out. Definitely snag a spot on the patio as it is beautiful to be outside.

What a gem and amazing food. You know a restaurant is a must visit when you walk away thinking, “what a great experience that was.” Ask to be seated upstairs, very unique dinning experience.
We had a wonderful experience in their Carasoul room. Small and romantic with live music just took us back to Spain! The food was just delicious and the service great. Would love to go back again when they have live music!
Nice food but over-priced. Mushroom tapas and shrimp tapas were lovely, in part because anything with butter and garlic is tasty. Drinks were well made. Sitting outside had moments that were pleasant (punctuated by having either eyes or ears assaulted by self-absorbed people with high beams or modified mufflers). Restaurant is small, which is to say it's easy for the staff to operate more quickly and more attentively. All in all, a pleasant experience ... for double the right price.
Well, everything was mostly wonderful, but unfortunately, one of the bartenders was completely rude. He served me a glass of sparkling rosé that was clearly flat or the wrong bottle entirely. When I told him, he argued “no that's the bottle you wanted” and walked away. When I called another bartender over, he agreed with me and poured it out and poured a fresh glass which in fact was sparkling! Other than that, the experience was lovely and we look forward to coming back.
This was our second time dining at Tango. It's close proximity to the Laguna Playhouse makes it an easy choice. The tapas are delicious. One order of their salad and their giant meatballs is not enough. Every tapa was fabulous. We continue to spread the word.

Tasty dishes, great service, really nice ambience indoors but the music was a bit too loud and that meant that people were talking really loud so it was hard to hear a conversation. They ran out of a few things on the menu but it was a Sunday evening - it's relatively limited menu to begin with, but we would come back and we would recommend it. They also have outside seating.
Beautiful ambiance and great service, I was hoping for more choices on the menu! We ordered meatballs and corn soup, it was savory!

It was our first time in Tango and even though we live in the town. Overall, the food was very good and the drinks were memorable. Nico our waiter was very accommodating and pleasant. He got pretty busy prior to the festival and thinks took a while but overall, we are very happy with her experience. The new bartender there was outstanding and the prices were reasonable though not cheap. Will definitely go back again and expect will enjoy our dining experience. Robert

Terrible service - seriously understaffed for a Saturday night in peak season. Waited nearly 30 minutes for first drink order (1 cocktail) After we placed drink order, waited 20 minutes before server even took our order. 2nd drink order (a simple glass of wine) - took 15 minutes. Food was very good, but service and pacing was not.
