Its so weird to see the Laguna Hills Mall being stripped of its identity piece by piece, to be replaced with the sleek new Five Lagunas live/work upscale homes that are becoming so popular in our area. At least that's what I've heard and the constructing crews sure are doing a lot of work on the road right next to the still standing, Laguna Hills Mall. Let me me just say that I grew up with the Laguna Hills Mall and to see it as it stands now, just breaks my heart. Whatever happens with you my old friend, I wish you well in whichever incarnation you happen to dwell in! (The newly constructed homes and business's will be cool I'm sure, but my heart is still with the Laguna Hills Mall, as it was, in all its regal glory, when I was still a young impressionable kid....hmmm.... the good ol' days right?? Farewell!!

The mall connects directly with BART. The Powell Street BART station is the bottom level of the mall, so public transit makes it super convenient to visit this mall. There is a parking lot, but it's expensive, so save yourself the headache and take BART!

The way they have the escalator is different, believe they are the 1st to have the curved escalators. The escalators are narrow so hard to walk around and there is no stairs option. As far as the elevators, they are not clearly marked. The shops are there but patronage seems low considering seeing very few people carrying bags from any of the stores.

Second Sunday every month the Coast Vintage Market has the flea market in the mall parking lot on east side of old Macy's. It us bigger and better every month. Free parking and entrance....great exhibitors with quality merchandise. * A great bargain vendor has amazing 2 inch potted succulents for only $1. Very relaxing to stroll the venue which is very organized and clean. A plus is after to go upstairs in the Macy's building. The second floor is the O.C.Market which has a permanent array of exhibitors that is open everyday....also fun to explore. All in all a great day and you will surly find a treasure.

I Went to Ruby's Diner. Love their Breakfast but not very interested in the Laguna Hills Mall anymore. They've gone Downhill...don't have the variety of shops they'd had in the past.

I went to In-N-Out Burger. It was awesome. I'm very clean inside. But very busy.

Food was good. Had the French dip and also ribs and Poke appetizer. Service was friendly, just a little slow but I think places are trying to find their rythm again and perhaps a little short staffed.

It's one of my favorite shopping centers here in our city. In this town, all the things you wanted were available and it was really inexpensive. They also have a wide range of restaurants where you can spend your time waiting for your mates. Oh, come and visit!

I do enjoy the shops here that have continued to endure the ever changing times. Location is right off the 5-freeway, southbound side. So, if you ever find yourself stuck in traffic, swing by here. I've heard the Farmers market has great local fruits and veggies amongst other goods.
