Order at the counter then sit, so no table service. Food prepared quickly and great tasting. A hole in the wall place. Even though we dined in, I would recommend ordering it to-go.

06.12.25 update: Some places are just worth visiting even with the extra drive. Maki-Yaki Express here in Laguna Hills is definitely a very good place for sushi. Same owners - very nice and humble two-team folks! Excellent array of dishes on their menu. I'm picky when it comes to pricing but if the quality and freshness are top notch, then I'm good with paying the price. Deeleeciousness on food for sure! The atmosphere inside fits with the adjacent stores. People come for the food anyway. Huge plus if owners are nice to customers👏👏👏

Reasonable prices and fairly quick service. A few of my favorites are salmon-mango roll, mango-avocado salad, shrimp tempura udon, jessica roll, shrimp tempura. Very accommodating on platter orders. Place is small in size, although not a place to impress your girl. This is one of THE places to go for good food!

This quaint little hole in the wall was absolutely shocking. I ordered the chicken teriyaki for only $14 with tax and I got a hefty serving of chicken and vegetables that was tender and juicy and extremely flavorful. The man working the register was nice and friendly and it only took 8 minutes for them to make my food. More people should check this place out and overall I was extremely surprised and blown away.

The food is ok, but there is no restroom for customers! The tray that is used in holding the dish is filthy sticky!

The food is good, a little bit expensive

Delicious food! Chicken teriyaki was delicious. Beef teriyaki was delicious. Shrimp tempura and veggie tempura very good! Tha place is very small so its great for take out dining. Good size portions and reasonably priced!

Great bento plate! Had the spicy chicken, and it was great. Sticky rice, just the right amount of spiciness for the chicken, California rolls, tempura and a salad. Great mix of everything, and portions just right.

My first time at this small business and we had two Bento boxes for takeout. I did not have time to take any pictures because the food was so yummy! The service was very polite. Great place to get some reasonably priced Japanese food.

Great little hole in the wall place. Good quality for the price. One of my favorite lunch spots.I believe its a husband and wife team that run it, theyre incredibly nice. Might need to ring the bell for their attention since its a low-staffed team.
