We ordered take-out and couldn't have been more disappointed. The tuna sandwiches were literally soaked in mayonnaise - dripped out of the sandwich and bread was soaked and you could not even taste the tuna. The chicken salad was no different. We couldn't pick up the sandwich without it falling apart. Also ordered was the Double Buttermilk pancakes. I asked for additional syrup and butter - no syrup or butter was included. Also, ordered was the Spinach and Feta Quiche Breakfast. The only thing in the box was a slice of quiche - no fruit, no bakery item - so a slice of quiche was $12.99. This was a total disaster of bad quality of food and zero oversight by quality control for missing items in the order.

I came in for the first time to get my pi day slice this morning. The server/cashier (I didn't get his name, but on the receipt it says Riko) was very nice and accommodating to my needs. The service and kindness he provided to me is very rare nowadays. Thank you! The pie was delicious and I'll come back in the near future! I wish I lived closer!

Let me tell you.... not gonna come back.Don't know where to start. We came visit Saturday eve. Every single thing we ordered was off!Fries for the kiddo, waited for 30 minutes, came out greasy and smelled like an old oil, which you can tell not only fries were cooked there.Coffe, waited long, taste was fine, however.... literally half of the cup of coffee, the rest was the foam! Not kidding- HALF!Pies....Banana cream pie was OK.Chocolate cream pie. I mean.... if your specialty are Pies, as the name of the restaurant suggests.... you would expect something better than a boring custard with cacao powder in it.Lemon merengue pie.... gosh. Migenge was raw, and just slided off the lemon custard.Service was slow. Not coming back. And it's pity, because you can tell there's a lot of effort put in to making the food, and restaurant interior is cute. YET, FOOD AND SERVICES DURING OUR VISIT WAS SOOOO BAD.

Polly's Pies, super famous for all of their delicious pies, has completely renovated their shop and the menus, both breakfast and dinner versions. Added are a bunch of baked goods, gourmet coffee choices and preserved jams and jellies. The service and ambiance have always been excellent but now, with the new menus and baked goods the smell and atmosphere are wonderful. The new menus now offer great choices and we discovered that we have now been enjoying this restaurant several time a week.

My dad and I had breakfast here yesterday. The staff was nice and the food was good. I had a veggie omelette with potatoes plus turkey sausage. My dad had chicken fried steak. On the way out my dad bought a couple pies. I took home banana cream which was delicious.

I love the food and prices. Every time we get the waiter named Ash we don't have a good experience. Order is messed up/slow.

Established in 1968, Polly's strives to offer "the freshest, tastiest "homestyle" cooking and baking (almost everything is made from scratch) all at very reasonable prices." With 13 locations in Southern California, I would liken Polly's to Marie Callender's of yesteryear. We visited the Laguna Hills location which can be found near the intersection of Moulton Parkway and Santa Maria Avenue. It is also adjacent to the Laguna Woods retirement community, so you can expect to see a number of beloved senior citizens dining there. I recommend joining Polly's "Perks" reward program. The birthday benefits, including a complimentary entree and slice of pie, alone make the membership worthwhile! We ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and Salisbury Steak as our entrees, and these meals include a choice of cornbread or dinner rolls. I happen to love cafeteria style green beans which Polly's has renamed "southern-style green beans", so I swapped out my red skin smashed potatoes for a second order of beans. Polly's also adds cherrywood smoked bacon to their green beans which is a nice addition. The chicken fried steak was served with country gravy and the salisbury steak was topped with freshly grilled mushrooms and a rich demi-glaze sauce. Both were hearty meals and best of all we rounded out our dinner with a slice of pie. Banana Cream is my fave and Polly's never disappoints! Polly's website mentions "superior service" but in my opinion this is the only area where they fell short. We waited in the lobby to be seated for much longer than expected. I appreciated that our server checked in on us multiple times, but he did not exude the warmth and friendliness I typically associate with servers. Having said that, this did not dampen our experience and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner!

Accidental find during our last supercharging trip. Nice pies and muffins. Little noisy but worth it. I can go anytime there.
