Great food, great margarita's, I recommend the cucumber with cilantro one. I love the way they serve the guacamole, on a long platter without a bunch of lettuce under it. Our waiter, Carlos was personable and attentive with perfect recommendations for how much I wanted to eat. Overall our experience was great.
Had an awesome lunch here with a group of friends! The food was tasty—pasta was fresh and chicken piadina was tasty, the vibe was really chill and welcoming. Definitely coming back next time we’re craving Italian!

It’s been three years since I first discovered this spot, and I still never get tired of it. My girlfriend and I come here often since it’s close to home, usually stopping by every Tuesday after work. We always sit at the bar, it’s where all the action is! The staff is consistently pleasant, and honestly, everything on the menu is solid.
Three years later, the Tamarindo Sour is still my go-to cocktail. This time we ordered the veggie tacos, ahi ceviche, Mexico City quesadilla, potato-filled taquitos, and of course, my favorite side grilled serrano peppers and onions.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Calo’s over Javier’s any day. The flavors and prices here just can’t be beat. Fight me!

Best margarita in town and I've made it a point to try them all. The data is in. Took my mom here who is now obsessed and promised to write a glowing review but she didn't so here I am. Just go it's fab

This is a great option if you’re looking for a more elevated dining experience in Laguna Niguel. The decor gives off a luxurious feel and service is top notch. Dishes are nicely plated and generally in the range of $30 to $50. Tables are provided with complimentary chips, salsa and black bean dip. The bean dip has a smoky, satisfying flavor. I wish the burrito had something similar but instead it comes with pinto beans which were slightly lacking in flavor. Portion sizes are large and location is convenient. It is near the freeway and also makes for a quick dinner stop after watching a movie at Regency Theaters, which is one street over.

We had a wonderful meal and the service was beyond expectation! I must start with sharing how our server, Michaela, was attentive and asked about food allergies. Kindly, the kitchen made me special chips to avoid my shrimp allergy and Michaela even brought me cucumber slices to enjoy with the guacamole while we waited on my special order chips. I also took an order home which also included their wonderful chips, salsa and bean dip. Now the food- amazing halibut tacos, carnitas Chile relleno and potato taquitos. Can't wait to come enjoy this amazing restaurant's food and service!

I really love their chips/dips. Chipotle chicken is delicious. I always tell myself to try other stuff, but I can't get away from that wonderful sauce.

My coworkers held a retirement party in my honor at Calo Kitchen and Tequila today. Christine and Hunter were our servers and they did an excellent job taking care of our large group! They were attentive, kind, and very personable. They even wrote out a lovely retirement card for me which was such a thoughtful touch! The food and drinks were great and we all had a great celebration!

I love this place! Delicious tacos, fajitas and drinks! My favorites are the seabass, pork and pineapple tacos and the chicken fajitas. The best drink is the black berry margarita. The even did a lovely birthday celebration with a card and a dessert.
The food was really good, and actually not too expensive for what it is. Came by for lunch with a group of 6 and spent a total of $42 each when we split the bill.
The food seems to be made with quality ingredients. It was very fancy Mexican food, but it felt authentic. The tamale I had was awesome, as well as the enchilada.
There was a little mixup with some of our appetizers, but the waiter made up for it.
Will definitely be back when I'm in the area again.
