What the heck happened to this place? We’ve been going here for 16 years and we’re super excited to have it tonight. Everything was awful. Mapo tofu was watery, hot and sour soup terrible, the green beans were anemic. So bummed.

The pit stickers were great as well as all four of our dishes (peppercorn ch8cken, sweet &spur chicken, basil rice, ma la beef). We also had the green beans that were excellent. The Sapporo draft beer was very cold. We'll come back on our next trip from Texas.

This is hands down the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. I’ve lived in La, SD, and OC and nothing comes close. The owner Jon has done an amazing job,top to bottom. I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant.

Came to China moon with my girlfriend and was really looking forward to the food, but was sorely disappointed with it and the service. Our server treated us very poorly and was inconsiderate to us compared to the guests around. It seems that this restaurant does NOT cater towards an Asian demographic. We had to ask for chopsticks... I am very displeased with the authenticity of the food and the treatment from our server. We Ordered the xiaolong bao, moo shu, and Peking duck. My partner found a hair in her food, the Peking duck was dry and bare, and we both thought all of the food was very bland. We will not be finding ourselves returning.

Used to love coming in here then we were rudely told that it was a 15-20 minute wait so we signed the waiting list then sat and waited 32 minutes and a group of people were walking in and said I hope they have seating and they were seated immediately… like really?

Saturday lunch was delicious as usual. Just thought I'd leave a lunch review because I don't think people realize that the restaurant closes around 230 pm so if you want lunch please take that into consideration. Come back for dinner if you don't make it don't make it on time for lunch. They're closed on Tuesdays so remember that detail too. Today we had a few new items that were delicious so I'm giving a shout out for the Combo lo mein and Veggie spring rolls. We also ordered our usual Mushu Pork, Kung Pao Cx (spice level 2), Combo fried rice. Best Szechwan Chinese cuisine in OC.

China Moon is officially my new go-to spot for Chinese food! Everything we ordered was delicious, but the honey sesame chicken was next-level — crispy, flavorful, and perfectly sauced. Highly recommend it!
Our server, Shu, was truly the best — warm, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. She made us feel right at home and took great care of us. Can’t wait to come back again soon!
