One of my families favorites. Been going for years, it has always been excellent. Sandy and Shu do a great job in the front of the house and we all love the food. Favorites include Yosi's crispy fish, mala scallops and chicken. My wife loves the sesame shrimp with walnuts or aromatic shrimp. My buddy ALWAYS gets the chefs special crispy beef. It can get crowded and the food's always fresh so at peak hours you need to be patient when dining in. I order take out a lot (especially during Covid) and never had an issue. Always exactly what I ordered and pretty quick. I highly recommend it!

I've been eating here for what might be my entire life. Kung pao chicken is amazing and my wife just loves the orange chicken. Tonight I tried the Chef's special beef and I have to say how disappointed I was in the dish. The meat was unbelievably chewing. The pieces are so big and I had a very time eating it. I still love this place but I'll never order that dish again.

Honestly, this would be a 3 star review if it were not for the service. The waiters and hosts are extremely attentive, friendly, and helpful! I would come back just because of them! As for the food, we ordered Rainbow Shrimp, Pepper Steak, the Pecking Duck, Mongolian Beef, and Crabmeat Wonton. The Rainbow Shrimp was really flavorful and tangy. The Sesame shrimp was a little strong on the sesame flavor which overpowered the dish, but it was overall tasty. They were both very crunchy and had good texture. The Pepper Steak felt lacking in meat. It was mainly vegetables and sauce. The flavor was good, and the meat was tender. The Mongolian Beef needed more seasoning and sauce. Although the meat was scarce, the quality was good. At least its safe to say that no food went to waste. (although it is tasty and good quality, there is not a good quantity of meat on the plate). As for the ambiance, the seating was a little cramped but maybe it felt that way because it was so crowded. There was a 30 minute wait so make sure to have a reservation! Overall, amazing service, great food, and decent ambiance.

My husband and I are a big fan of this Chinese restaurant, especially when we run into our favorite server, Sandy. It is well worth the trip from San Diego. Sadly there are just no good Chinese restaurants in our local area that we need to make the trek to Laguna Niguel. I'm Chinese and therefore a bit particular when it comes to this kind of food. Without fail, every time we've visited, we are met with exceptional service. The food really goes without saying. We do suggest coming when they first open because this is a popular restaurant and they can get pretty busy--even for take out orders. Thank God this place didn't decline on quality after COVID like most establishments did. They stayed true to what makes them stand out amongst the rest. Sandy is absolute joy to be around. You will want to request her section if possible. We look forward to seeing her again. Hello Shoo and Jonathan! Keep up the good work!

We were there last night. Server was great... speedy service but dishes were not hot. We sent the fried rice back and they reheated it. My husband wanted them to heat up his whole dish but was told they didn't have a microwave. He wanted spicy Kung Pao Chicken... it came lukewarm and not spicy.... not pleased with that dish.

We hadn't been to China Moon for a while and while the service was good the one beef and especially the two chicken dishes seemed pretty light on meat compared to how we remember. The restaurant was still fairly crowded and the atmosphere was nice.

Went early morning almost right when they opened and it was really quiet, Service was fast and the waiter was very nice. Everything we ordered tasted fresh, best Chinese food i have had in a while!

Beyond great service and great food. Felt it was very fancy but prices were surprisingly low which is awesome! $10-20 per item. Got the dumplings (BEYOND AMAZING) orange chicken (one of the best) LO mein (amazing) and broccoli beef (was okay) My drink kept being filled up whenever it hit halfway, they kept asking if we were good and were friendly. Definitely a new favorite spot.

We found China Moon on Google Maps and tried it on a whim -- now it's part of our family's restaurant rotation. The food is delicious, and I think they use better ingredients than most American-oriented Chinese restaurants. More healthier choices too. Stop going to that chain restaurant with increasing prices, decreasing quality, smaller portions, where they expect you to punch in your own order on a stupid tablet that adds on $2-4 because someone touched the Games button.

A truly wonderful dining experience thanks to Ulysses and the kind staff! We stumbled upon the restaurant doing a Yelp search in the area. We were especially pleased to see patio tables as Chinese restaurants do not always have outside dining for our doggy! We were greeted so kindly by Ulysses and his service alone was 5+ stars! Thank you again Ulysses. We ordered hot and sour soup, kung pao chicken, and sweet and sour chicken. The soup was a generous portion for 2 and tasted delicious. Everything came out perfectly. Also, even the plain white rice and soy sauce was EXTRA yum!! So glad we've found a new spot! Thank you so much China Moon.
