Best sushi in OC. Although it's expensive, you absolutely get your money's worth. Staff was very friendly and kind, and the decorations are very nice. I will absolutely return!

Great food! More like a "Sushi to go" restaurant. You order your food at the counter. There are only a couple of tables inside and out the restaurant and they will bring the food to your table if you are dining in. It is family owned and you often see Father, Mother, and Daughter working behind the counter. But every time I've eaten here, I've been very pleased with the food and service.

LOVE Honsan!! High quality, delicious, and affordable sushi!

The Forbidden Rice (purple rice) rolls and the Special Rolls are so creative and colorful. The rock-n-roll roll is my favorite! Sashimi are good portions and very fresh. Super G is vegetarian and really good. Honestly you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

The restaurant is run by a cute hardworking family. :)

You can dine inside, but it’s very small and great for takeout.

Went for a lunch date with my son. It's a small place and the sushi is amazing. It's was so good. The specialty rolls are amazing. My son has an allergy to shrimp and they overheard us and offerd to make the roll we were looking at with no shrimp. We will definitely be back.

Came here for dinner with my partner as we live nearby and wanted to try another sushi restaurant.The service was amazing, our waiter was great and very responsive. And given the good reviews we were hopeful to have a new regular spot!As soon as we tasted the Ikura nigiri, we literally had to spit it out. It tasted rancid. Okay, we thought, maybe just a fluke, things happen. Then we get the remainder of our rolls and all of the fish tasted quite off, with even a few slices having a bit of a grey color to them. It made for a super unpleasant experience, and we ended up not eating much of what we ordered, as we were worried about freshness.I’m really hoping this was just a one-off thing given the other positive reviews, but wanted to share.
