Take @Ash Cuessy review with a grain of salt. I was ordering at Roman's Mexican restaurant (which is next door to Chaupin's Bakery) when this interaction happened. What I saw were two customers cussing and shouting each other out while the service workers were just shocked at the interaction. One customer was telling Ash Cuessy's Father not to be rude to service staff who were simply doing there job. It's astounding to me that people think they can treat workers however they want. What's also shocking is the race bating that occurred in @Ash Cuessy dishonest review. I am a regular at Chaupin and one the workers who was there at time this happened is also Hispanic.

I regret to say that a recent experience with Chaupin Bakery was deeply disappointing. My father visited the bakery today after they failed to show up at the farmers market in Whittier. Despite making the effort to visit one of their actual locations, which was quite a distance away, he encountered a distressing situation.Upon entering the store and patiently waiting to be served, he was met with indifference from the workers behind the counter. Despite being the only customer at the time, they seemed unwilling to acknowledge him or take his order. The situation took a disheartening turn when, moments later, a white customer entered the store and was promptly greeted and attended to by one of the employees. My father, understandably taken aback by this blatant disregard, spoke up, only to be met with a belated apology and begrudging attention. It was evident that the employees' behavior was not only disrespectful but also a form of microaggression towards my father. In a further attempt to salvage the situation, my father sought assistance from another employee who was quietly present nearby. The fact that he had to seek help from someone who was not actively attending to customers speaks volumes about the lack of professionalism and courtesy displayed by the staff. And the employee that did take his order was indifferent of the situation, and did not speak up/apologize towards the rude behavior that was displayed by him or the other employee. As a loyal customer, hearing such behavior towards my father is deeply troubling. It is unacceptable for any establishment to treat its customers with such disrespect, regardless of race or background. I hope that Chaupin Bakery takes this feedback seriously and implements measures to ensure that all customers are treated equally and with the respect they deserve.

One of the top level bakeries around. Really wished I could order and eat everything. Come early as there is usually a line out the door but the line moves relatively quickly. I would skip any of the teas as it's just from a tea bag. Go for the pastries. There is some outdoor seating.Parking: Small parking lot shared with other businesses in the same plaza

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Chaupain Bakery, a gem that I stumbled upon while scouting out some prime real estate in the area for my clients. From the moment I walked in, I was enveloped by the warm, welcoming aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries, a testament to the authenticity and quality that Chaupain Bakery prides itself on. As a real estate agent, I’m always on the lookout for local businesses that add unique value to the neighborhood, and Chaupain Bakery is exactly the kind of place I’m thrilled to recommend to potential home buyers. The coffee is robust and perfectly complements their exquisite selection of baked goods. Their croissants? Simply divine. It’s places like Chaupain Bakery that truly make a neighborhood feel like home. Whether you’re just visiting or looking to move into the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won’t be disappointed!

Our group had the almond cream (#1 fave), the cream cheese stuffed with everything bagel and Nutella stuffed. All delish! Flaky, buttery, perfection! Will be back to try more!

We have gone before and it’s excellent- all the breads are amazing, and the Benedict. Today their computer went down and it was crazy for them, they couldn’t take food orders right in the middle of the brunch rush. But they really handled it well and the manager went thru and made sure everyone got their food- great job guys.

Ohmagawd I love this bakery. I can camp here for ever lol! Every pastry I tried here, I have loved it. Even the ones I normally don’t like aswell are very well done here. They also have different seasonal flavors available in different seasons. This year I tried their strawberry eclair which I loved though I felt it could have had a bit more potent strawberry flavoring to the eclair cream. Either ways looking forward to more seasonal flavors from them.

Excellent wraps, sandwiches, croissants, ingredients are very fresh. Wraps/Sandwiches comes with the choice of roasted potatos or salad. Coffee are just ok so you may skip however they do offer fruits infused ice water. Cafe can be very crowded on weekends morning but be patient and you’ll find seats. The crowd is a mix of locals and foreigners. Occasionally, there are birds hawking around the tables. Overall, highly recommended especially their croissants, pastries and tarts, probably DA BEST I’ve tried whilst in LA, gives Porto’s pastries a run for it’s monies ! ??????

My friend and I tried this place for the first time this weekend and everything was so delicious! their croissants are flaky perfection and their pastry cream is lovely. Shout out to Hazel who helped us out with our order. Her kindness and patience made my experience so much more memorable and i love going to places where the staff is as friendly and as polite as she was!
