Were seated for 45 minutes — no one took our order. We went to the server and asked him — he relayed that he was the only one working and could not take our order. Drove all the way from torrance — never going here again.

Horrible experience! Poor customer service. We went for Fathers Day and were seated for 1 hour without our order being taken. The waiter was extremely rude and combative. He has no manners. Other customers were complaining about him too. Stay away from this place unless you want to be waiting for 1+ hour to have your order taken and be treated poorly.

I was expecting authentic Afghan flavors, but unfortunately, the experience fell short. The Qabili/Kabuli Palao was quite underwhelming—the rice was broken, dry, and had the texture and taste of leftovers rather than a freshly prepared dish. The Bolani was overly greasy and had a strong aftertaste, suggesting it was fried in old oil. Overall, the quality and authenticity were lacking, which was disappointing.

Nothing like afghan foods at all,
Very bad taste specially in ground chicken and lamb kabobs. Wast of money.

Extremely rude behavior, after 40 minutes of waiting, no water nothing was offered. I was seriously disappointed by the whole experience and at the end we had to walk out without eating.

Flavorful Afghan and Persian food in south OC is a real treat for lunch or dinner! Particularly, try the Chapli Kabab, Mixed Bolani (stuffed flat bread), Chicken Koobideh (ground skewers with colorful rice), Kabuli Palau (lamb shank with rice, raisins, carrot strips), and Banjan Borani (mashed eggplant), all of which are mouthwatering! Yummy for your tummy!

It’s a Pakistani restaurant in an orange county by the irvine Spectrum although more like Afghani food. Everything on the menu is Halal. I liked the food &the customer service. Malik was very welcoming and he often checked on us if we needed anything.. He mentioned that once in a while he host singers from Pakistan to perform. It was pretty nice to know that he did a great job in taking care of us. I would recommend this store for those who R looking 2have a taste of both Pakistan & Afghani

My family and I have been to Chili Chutney many times but am long overdue to leave a review.

Overall, Chili Chutney has exceeded our expectations time and time again, and we can't wait to return. Highly recommended!

This is a unfortunate turn off events. Before the ownership transfer this place was great! However currently after the ownership transfer it's basically dreadfully bad! ?. The chicken kabob was literally caked in butter ?. Witch leaves you with this disgusting butter filling in your throat. The menu is utterly ugly! We're is the management all the menu's are breaking apart or just in need of repair! During my dinner experience one of my forks had black stuff on it talk about sanitary. Are table had no number ? sad can't even get that right. The gentleman keep saying number 17 but there was no table with 17 ?. Overall I wouldn't recommend this place! it's not worth your money there are better and clearer with better tasting food. Don't pay $19.99 - $59.99 for food that you can make better at home!

I recently visited Chili Chutney and was disappointed to find that the experience has changed significantly since the ownership transitioned. The food, which used to be a highlight of my visits, simply doesn’t taste the same anymore. The flavors and quality have noticeably declined, which is such a shame considering how much I used to enjoy it.

Additionally, the service was probably the worst I've encountered. The staff seemed overwhelmed and inattentive, which added to the frustration of my dining experience. It’s unfortunate, but this visit will likely be my last. I hope they can find a way to improve, but for now, I can’t recommend this place.
