Went to establishment on 03/22/2024. Wanted to buy the Triple Rice Bowl & was told it's sold out even thought there was a Roast Duck, a Roasted Chicken and a piece Roast Pork inside of the display counter. The man & lady only wanted to sell the precooked food left on the counter; insisted that it's fresh. Those available items didn't looked appealing/fresh at all. So disappointed with how the restaurant is operating the business.

Tender and flavorful duck. Decent portions for the plates. The rice and veggies are a nice accompaniment. Pork belly has a good crunch but slightly pricy for the portion size.

We ordered one meal box and one bbq meal (honey bbq pork and duck). The meal was decent but the bbq meal was not worth it at all. The pork was more than 50% fat and the 6 pieces of duck was extremely disappointing. It was pretty much a whole duck chopped up, intestines all included. We had duck gizzard in one piece, two pieces were skin and bone, all skin and fat in one piece, and two pieces were pretty much all chest bones. Apparently there's an upcharge to get only thigh meat. The service was slow too. The meal box was ready instantly but it seems they were chopping the duck when we ordered it and we got the end bits. We also ordered a hot and sour soup which was way too sour. I love hot and sour soup but this one leaned too far sour.

Sometimes the bbq pork is overly fatty. Otherwise all good.

Am from NY and SF Chinatown; must say the roast duck, chicken had one of the most flavorful preparations I've ever experienced A must try in my humble opinion With Sam woo closed , this is a worthy successor to the bbq scene in OC U can't eat atmosphere, but the food is delicious

They have no chef after the lunch period so your options are very limited. The service was quite slow, though friendly, and the food available after the chef leaves is nothing special.

There are no decent Hong Kong BBQ places in south OC so I had high hopes for this place. If you buy HK BBQ regularly then this place is probably not for you. This place sell the meat as per box not per pound. The box is less than a pound but the meat is nicely chopped and displayed. The meat has a lot of food coloring. It is as red as the matador's flag. The flavor is also very salty with too much five spice powder. Overall it's not too bad but it's just not my style. If I am in a pinch and must scratch my HK BBQ itch, then sure. Otherwise I'll save my craving for other restaurants.

The dish itself was presented beautifully, with the duck sliced into thin and succulent pieces and placed on a bed of steamed rice. The skin was perfectly crispy and had a beautiful golden brown color, while the meat was tender and flavorful. It was clear that the duck had been marinated and roasted to perfection, as every bite was bursting with delicious flavors. What I loved most about Franks Chinese BBQ's roasted duck was the balance of flavors. The marinade had a perfect blend of sweet and savory, with hints of soy sauce, honey, and Chinese five spice. This complemented the natural flavors of the duck without overpowering it. Service was great, it was busy around lunch time but the staff was quick to assist. The area was very clean and I felt at home. I would recommend!

My mom and I had the BBQ pork, Honey Walnut Shrimp, white rice and vegetables. The meal was delicious. The service was good where you give them your order, pay for it at the counter then find a seat. As far as ambiance, It is a small simple place, so patience is needed when it is busy.

Welllll... err-body knows that good food may not have great service, this place definitely lacks that extra touch of service. With that being said, the duck, soy sauce chicken, and honey bbq pork are delicious. I took it home, and had it for a couple days, even after heating it up for those days, it was still delicious. Would recommend, but don't eat it there.

The food here is great. The service is ok. They are a bit slow when it's crowded and a bit chaotic. Overall this place has amazing food.
