This place is a gem!
My friend and I shared a Fried Oyster / Egg, Minced Meat with Rice, Oyster with Thin Noodle, and Meat Ball (I forgot to take pictures of the latter two).
The portion and price were fair. Service was friendly and efficient. Ambiance was cute and quiet.
Everything I ordered tasted pretty authentic - can't wait to try more when I return!

Good Time Cafe Good Year Winter
Today, my husband took me to eat the "Taiwanese snacks" that I have been longing for ~ Good Time Cafe. Good winter! He said that this brand has a history of more than 30 years, but he didn’t know that this store is about 10 minutes away from his home!
Taiwanese snacks and delicacies are internationally renowned for their delicacies. Almost everyone from Taiwan will definitely miss the taste of Taiwanese food!
As soon as you enter, the waiter greets you enthusiastically and arranges your seats. She also patiently explains when you ask her questions, which is great!
The food at Haoniandong is delicious and authentically Taiwanese, especially the authentic sauces. Every dish I saw made me want to take a bite, and I wished I had several stomachs!
So happy to now know this place exists and recommend it to everyone!
Today’s food:
@stinkytofu: It is a delicacy that some people love to death and some people are afraid of. Its unique "scent" is unforgettable! It’s just that this time the fried stinky tofu didn’t have a crispy texture, and the refreshing kimchi was sweet but not sour!
@肉ball: The outer skin has a springy texture, and the lean meat filling makes the taste more distinct. It is topped with sweet sauce, without too many seasonings and side dishes, and has a simple fragrance.
@彧子米饼: The rice cakes tend to have a soft and sticky texture. The grains are not distinct, but they make people want to eat more. Although the sweet and spicy sauce is a supporting role, it is a bonus in terms of taste!
@large intestine oyster noodles: The noodle soup is very refreshing, without the smell of fried shallots. It has a clean taste, which is not amazing. Once you add the vinegar seasoning on the table, the sweetness and umami taste instantly increase. It is definitely worth eating. level!
@Fried Tempura: It is recommended to eat the freshly fried tempura. It has a fresh and sweet fish paste taste, thick texture, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It is more delicious when dipped in sweet and spicy sauce. It is refreshing and relieves greasiness with small cucumber slices.
The whole thing is delicious!
@刈包(Pork belly buns): It can be said to be "Taiwan style burger", a semi-elliptical white steamed bun, filled with shimmering and braised black and salty pork belly, sour sauerkraut, and the finishing touch of peanut sugar powder and A little coriander, when you are a little hungry but not too hungry, Gua Bao is a Taiwanese snack that often comes to mind! It brings together a multi-layered combination of salty, sour and sweet ingredients and is a classic Taiwanese snack.

I’d say chew lightly as my first piece of chicken had a few bone fragments in it but then only to find out out… of the day eight pieces in the curry chicken, five large bones (like the size of each chunk of meat) were present… so maybe yielding an ounce of actual meat?

I’m from Taipei and so happy to have this place nearby now. The food is very tasty and the service is friendly. I crave Taiwanese food often so this place has been on repeat visits for me. Highly recommend. The taste is authentically Taiwanese.

Relaxed atmosphere, very home like tables and chairs. Almost too relaxed. Order with the menu instead of the code in the table, the online order Numbers aren't exactly the same. I ordered an 18 expecting to get popcorn chicken and I got white rice because that's 18 on the printed menu.

The soup is absolutely disgusting
New favorite spot. So happy to see this business back in the area. It used to be named Nice Time Deli decades ago in Irvine. Growing up it was a Top choice for Taiwanese food, and glad to report they’re still serving yummy dishes. They have a complete menu, with notably authentic Taiwanese flavors & sauces. Along with offering most of the dishes you’d expect, they have the kindest service you’d find in the sweet land of Taiwan as well. You’re not going to find your Americanized Chinese food, so to the ignorant reviewers—get your confused, exaggerated rudeness out of these comments and away from this amazing establishment. If you’re looking for Cantonese or Szechuan, this is not it. Not sure if other reviewers on here are Taiwanese. But I am Taiwanese, and I recommend this.We tried loved these dishes: Fried pork chop, Oyster pancake, Minced pork over rice, A tsai vegetable, Taiwanese sausage, Thousand year old egg with tofu- Note, my husband is Taiwanese & we visited here together. So his personal recommendations have been stated here, as I whole heartedly agree.
Parking: Weekends the small lot is difficult. Weeknights not difficults.

We came here to get a quick bite before dinner ,and as my personal opinion, the food they served here is as close as you can get for taiwanese street food.

I almost never leave reviews but I had to for this one. Literal joke of a place. First of all, the place smells like the a* crack of your grandma when you walk in. Then there’s the the food portion size that’s only enough to feed an infant. I get it that times are tough with the inflation and all but at least increase your price accordingly? How is it that two pieces of meat in a dish is acceptable? And I wouldn’t be this disappointed if the taste was at least good. Spoiler alert- it wasn’t. It tasted so bland and dry like I was chewing paper. I will never come back to this place and I would not be recommending this place to anyone unless I hate them. What a disgrace to our local community. All these five star reviews must have been left by bots.
