Best Korean food in South OC, in a nice clean restaurant with family vibes. We come here for family meals every couple of months, and get takeout for office lunch as well. For under $20 you can get this incredible bento for lunch, which can't be beat on price or quality when a sandwich nearby is almost $20.

We found this place when looking for Korean barbecue. This, however, is not Korean barbecue. This is more Korean comfort food, not that I’m an expert. The restaurant is clean & modern in decor. The woman who appeared to be the owner was a beautiful hardworking Korean woman was answering phones, serving food, overseeing staff, cleaning & being a boss. Didn’t expect much but walked out very impressed. Highly recommend. Try the bulgogi, the kimchi fried rice, the Padak fried chicken, and the Ddeok-Bokki.

Restaurant seems family owned and operated. Staff very friendly and attentive, food came out quickly.

Really all spectacular, HanBop is the type of place OC — and Lake Forest in particular — needs much more of. I’ll be returning to try the whole menu!
