LA CASITA OLVERA

I am Mexican and the draw of eating real Mexican food was partly due to the name...and childhood memories of Olvera Street visits in LA. In south OC, stepping in, I was a little skeptical but the food stood up to the challenge! To start, La Casita Olvera served up a salsa that was truly Mexican. Super delicious...I'd just say it was mild and could use some serrano, otherwise it was delish. The birria taquitos were very well situated...exceptionally well seasoned birria! All in all, for a first visit and small plates, well worth the happy hour visit. It was relatively quiet at 6p, during Rams v. Seahawks game.

First time here and it was very good. The food was good. The waiters supernice.. Excellent service the waiter's very attentive and the chef. Making sure everyone was pleased with the food. Good prices. The buffet was definitely a hit.

Food good, weak menu, nice staff

I love the wings but only 5 small little wings that look like they had a chuck ripped out. I didn’t touch anything i received it and was immediately shocked.

One dollar tacos?!? Not just the steak, chicken, pork selection either. Birria, barbacoa, Pollo Verde, pescado, carne, carnitas, puerco, and more; I'm sure I'm missing some. Great menu selection, too.

Was excited about trying their fajitas before arrival but got disappointed after trying. The steaks were overcooked and got burned. Service was good though as different staff came back to check the table for a few of times. A little bit pricey.

The food and drinks are amazing! My husband and I came here from out of town, and after reading reviews decided to give it a try omg the steak tacos were so delicious!!! The margaritas were great too and the flan amazing. Not the usual Mexican food, the authentic Mexican food here.

We met our friends for Brunch!!! It was awesome. Had a table ready for us 4 and our dogs. Breakfast Buffet was amazing. Taco bar, salad bar, omelet bar and pancakes with icecream and bananna fosters. Had amazing Posole and Menudo with all the fixings.
Brunch is 17.95. Add on all you can drink mimosas for 12.00 more.
All the staff was so nice and welcoming and very attentive..
Place was really clean.
I would highly recommend!!

Tasty tacos and not to mention for $1 on Tuesdays. It's a hidden gem in lake Forest, service is also good and the owner is attentive and friendly will definitely recommend others.

Decent at best. Probably the smallest portion of fajitas I’ve ever seen. The veggies weren’t seasoned and they dont give you any sauces or dips with it. The staff are friendly and nice though.

Absolutely delicious authentic Mexican food. Dinner is so freaking good here! Favorite place for Posole around!!
Great Sunday brunch with mouth watering fresh made ceviche 🤤. Fun atmosphere and delicious mixed drinks. Staff is very friendly too.
