Olive Tree Chinese Kitchen

Our waiter was super nice. I was excited that most of the menu is gluten free. We really liked the orange chicken and honey garlic shrimp. My son said it was really good and seemed homemade. And what a deal! Just those two entrees plus the included rice was enough for me, my mom, and my 2 kids. Only $36 even after prices were raised due to inflation! Score!

Ordered Olive Tree this evening from Grub Hub and had orange chicken, Kung pao chicken, shrimp and vegetables along with white, brown and egg fried rice. Good potions and tasty.The green tea with lemon was quite good as well.Recommended.

This may be one of the best Chinese restaurants I have eaten at in years. On a recent trip, we had take out three nights in a row. The walnut shrimp is to die for. You might have a bit of a wait as locals stream through the doors for their called in orders.

A very enjoyable meal. Food was very flavorful, fresh, hot and exceptional portions. A vast variety of flavors with just the right amount of spice(heat)…..Now we can’t possibly leave without sharing the polite, energetic and professional server we had ( DEREK) an absolute treasure to the Olive Tree! Experience!!!!

Great place for some Chinese cuisine and good flavor and lunch plates. You can get both a Coke and a Pepsi in one, lol. The lunch combo comes with options of egg drop or hot and sour soup, wonton or egg roll, choice of steam white or brown rice or fried rice with your protein of choice. Orange, Cashew, Kung pow chicken or Mongolian beef is super delicious can't go wrong with it but various other options in the lunch menu or larger portions great for sharing or not. I hear the chicken fried rice is a thing to try which will be next time for me.

General Tao's Chicken was great. Nice patio area. Waitress was very nice, let me order take out when they had already closed. Will definitely be back.

This is the best Chinese food I've ever had. And every time we order from here, it never disappoints! Tonight for example, my husband and I ordered from here. Their combination chow mein (beef, shrimp, chicken) is spectacular. Always so well cooked and pack load of flavor. Their 6 pc Wings have this red chile with garlic with a bit of cilantro, is unlike any flavor I've ever experienced. The best tasting wings ever, hands down! Can't say enough about their cream cheese wontons, always so crispy with a sweet creamy cheese filling that just melts in your mouth. We never miss out on those. But the star if today is a new dish we tried out for our very first time. Their Black pepper beef steak, which has this rich beefy sauce mixed with thick pieces of tender steak, onions, mushrooms and snow peas. It surpasses all our expectations of deliciousness, rich flavors and more! No doubt the food here is made with love. We absolutely love this place!

This place is great honestly a little pricey but gosh I been craving some good Chinese food and thank god I ordered here. The food is the closest to some authencity the service is great and their lunch special is great. Do take advantage

Looking for great chicken wings? Look no more, this place has some of the best I’ve had, top 3, and the other food is very well done with a hint of spice or stronger if you like. Had the lunch Chicken Wing special with Egg Roll, Sour Soup, Steamed Veggies and large beer, what a great choice recommended by our fantastic host and server, Derek, funny, smart and there before you need him. Wife had the Triple Meat with steam rice, amazing taste. Do yourself a favor and stop in and check out this little spot, hidden from the road attached to the Quality Inn Suites in Lake Forrest. Wings were so good? Gonna make a wing run tonight!

Authentic, yummy goodness... I don't like you can't sub noodles for rice, but it was so good. I got the beef and broc with rice and it came with either ragoon or egg rolls. I got ragoon and it was the best I've ever had. The sweet tea is like jasmine and different but very good. Took about 20 min from walk in place order and pickup.

The Orange Chicken was delicious!!! Kinda odd though that it only came with 1 piece of broccoli ?...

Super basic, very small, zero ambiance, BUT …very convenient if you are staying at the Quality Inn, that it is literally attached to. I had lunch there : shrimp and veggies. It was good but nothing special. If you like it spicy they WILL bring the heat so be aware. I love the spice and they brought it fiery hot. A normal person should get it at “level 1” !VictorB

Flavorful Chinese food with good service, and generous portions. Definitely a better tasting food that you’ll find in Irvine.They were open Christmas Eve and Christmas Day also. Thank you for delicious dinner.

The food is good. But beware of the prices. They have menu's to take by the register, but the prices are wrong. I ordered the orange chicken and an order of wings to go. I got 5 wings instead of 6 and it cost about $5 more than the menu prices.
