The place had lost some of its flair. Employees aren't as friendly and the food has less flavor. Not sure if the company uses the same vendors as when they opened or they've cut back things.... but it's not as special as it was when they opened.

Who doesn't know about the famous The Hat in this day. Come On Now! If you live or work nearby or travel in near by you have to consider getting in and getting yourself some Hat grub. Great place to get in and feel great grubbing.

We ordered in the drive through. Very quick but obviously freshly made sandwiches. As a vegetarian I wasn’t hopeful but in the end I was highly impressed. My sandwich was too big for me alone but it was 10/10 how I like it. Messy and worth every penny. I ordered the avocado cold sandwich. My husband ordered the ‘ world famous pastrami dip’ extra dip on the side. He loved it so much I went back to get him lunch the next day! I personally give it a 4 because they need more veggie options but to have even one sandwich for us veg eaters and the quality is amazing. They look packed all day but service is quick so worth the short wait for the food. The pictures don’t lie the meat is thick and tasty! No complaints other than not having one closer to home!

Dropped into 'The Hat' for a pastrami sub for lunch. Service was fast and the place has an American Diner, fast food joint, vibe, with booth tables. The pastrami was good, but not as good as what I've had in New York City. Fountain drinks, restrooms and background music. A good USA experience from a brand dating back to 1951.
