The prices they charge are different than what it says on the menu. Instead of 9 it turns into 14 for the buttito. They haven't changed the prices on the signs for over a year. Very misleading and thev food sucks and the portions are very small.

Don’t even think about going in near closing the owner will make you feel unwelcome and that he doesn’t need your business, great food to bad, I won’t ever go back in there, and I’m taking like a hour before closing, you’re better off spending your money at Taco Bell, a 18 year old is easier to deal with than this guy.

This place is easy to miss. It's right before the entrance to CA 178 east, just a couple of blocks from the main drag in Lake Isabella. We passed it several times before trying it out. Phenomenal food. Completely unexpected. We ordered Shrimp Ceviche and a salmon taco. Both huge and delicious. The service is quite unexpectedly nice. And they actually use good stainless steel cutlery! They do need more tables although most people choose take-out. Seriously good food.
Wish I had a better time here. Stopped by here 2.5 hours before closing and got the worst service. Guy at the front desk was so rude and annoyed that we were at his restaurant trying to give him business. Was being very sassy to me and my friends just because we wanted to order food. Seems like he just wanted to go home but it wasn’t even close to closing time. Won’t be coming back here, not worth the horrible service.

My husband and I had a fantastic meal at Kern River Ceviche Company. It is the best restaurant we’ve tried within a two-hour radius, and I can’t recommend it enough. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was incredible—the restaurant has such a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately made us feel welcome.
The owner personally greeted us and took the time to explain the menu, which showed their passion for the food and dedication to providing excellent service. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests’ experience.
The food was simply delicious! We tried several dishes, and every single one exceeded our expectations. The Isabella ceviche was fresh and perfectly balanced, the flavorful and generous fajitas were delicious, and the surf and turf tacos were divine. The lobster tail tacos were a real highlight, and the sequoia harvest bowl was beautiful and satisfying.
Don’t miss their aguas frescas either - they’re the perfect complement to the meal and are made with care.
After trying several restaurants in the area, I can confidently say this is the best we’ve experienced. The incredible food, welcoming service, and beautiful atmosphere make Kern River Ceviche Company a fantastic choice. We’ll be back!
