“Arkie's ambiance is a true old time honky-tonk type bar. It's NOT for those barely over 21looking for Appletinis or Kale smoothies with a shot of liqueur in them. An Arlie's evening is like traveling back in time right and stepping out in your favorite country song. The prices are on the low end and the patrons know each other by name. Expect to wait a bit to sing on Karaoke night as the rotation can be quite lengthy. With the right attitude, you're sure to have a memorable experience.”

Where all the signs say danger, yet I am in a trance where all reasoning goes out the window. The beautiful golden crispy sight and smell of gigantic fried orangey chicken pieces put me in a trance as I walked thru the old, dirty run-down gasoline station. I went with the three pump, sorry three piece option. The sexy breaded fried chicken skin's surface was quickly broken by my teeth to expose the juicy, steamy flavorful white tender meat that immediately made me feel dirty for cheating on my diet. Many of my food decisions are motivated by that line in the movie, "Burn after reading." The scene where George Clooney's character says, "What the hell, live dangerously." That is the best way to describe Chester's Chicken gasoline station locations. It's not the greatest healthiest option, but man does it taste good!”

“I go to Ewings atleast once a month and I was so excited when I found out they hosted events. I had my wedding in the back room last night and it was just BEAUTIFUL. They really did a good job decorating the back room for events. Patty was such a help to me and making sure I had everything I needed, the food is ALWAYS amazing, and staff is always the nicest. Bradlie was my server for all 40 people and she did absolutely amazing.”

“Always a fun night. Love the saloon vibes. Owner and Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Weekend food choices are good and filling, and convenient for a night out for karaoke. Turkey melt with Ortega was great for our dinner. KJ was fun and knowledgeable and the sound system was on point. Crowd was awesome enjoying each-other's performances, and cheering on the singers. “This main stay, in Santa Barbara, has the most eclectic and interesting crowd. The bartenders and waiting staff are extremely friendly and the customers are a trip. just my type of people. Be prepared to get a rideshare. Lol. For people who don't want the hassle of getting dressed up and being pretentious. It can be a most enjoyable outing. Definitely every time I go to Santa Barbara I try to stop there as long as I'm not driving lol.”

“Quaint little dive on the main drag through Kernville. The parking lot is tiny. They have a stage and live music a few times per year. Used to have a nice house band that kept the place popping until one of the members flew the coup and they dissolved. The bartender was friendly and talkative. The owner has put the place up for sale in case you're interested in owning such a gem.”

“Great beer, great music and good food. Very friendly staff. Nice local community who are very friendly and like to chat. Only spent a short time in the town but this was our favourite spot. Highly recommend it. Wish I could of taken more Sequoia Red home with me.”
