We got a pecan waffle and a corned hash beef combo but the menu was huge. Great breakfast! Recommended :)

We were in the area to see the Sequoias at the Trail of 100 Giants. The reviews seemed positive, and highly recommended the made from scratch pies. The restaurant did not disappoint! Great food, great service, and our waitress was very friendly and very knowledgeable about local trails and attractions. The highlight for me, though, were their shakes and malts--over 100 different flavors to choose from! Mine was fabulous, as was my Hula burger. Would definitely recommend, and would definitely go back if we were in the area again!

We decided to go w the special of the evening. But the dinner menu (only $4-5 more) which had the same thing was completely different. Who offers a western cheeseburger & not fries. The fries were ur side order. U only get 1 side order w the specials. Salads also an extra side order. Now the dinner menu offered 2 sides + salad & dessert!!! The specials were not special @ all. I was so extremely disappointed. After being a consistent customer for approximately 20+ YEARS I think Kernville became r new choice. We even told them like wtf? I didn't even get a slice of bread to go w my meatloaf, mashed potatoes. My side salad was also an add on. Didn't come w my meal. Not worth the $49. for 2 ppl

I love this place!
They have a beef dish that's from a pit barbeque - I have no idea what this is, but it's amazing!
Let me take a step back. When I come to Nelda's, I order the pit barbeque beef, baked potato and fresh fruit. The beef if magical! There's such a great smoke flavor and it's so juicy! Their fresh fruit is very good - a nice sized portion and the fruit is fresh! The baked potato is good - I like it with butter only. And they give me a slice of garlic bread, which I use as a sponge to soak up the wonderful beef juices! And to top it off, I get a bowl of ice cream with my meal!
The staff! The gals there are awesome. Friendly and they've given me great information about the town - I'm new to the area - we've owned a home here for a little over a year. Though we're not here all the time, we feel that Lake Isabella welcomes us and it's our home away from home! I can tell that the people at Nelda's are truly nice people!
The restaurant has plenty of seats and I've always sat at a clean table! They have a pie display - I've been tempted to have a slice, but I never have any room left after my delicious meal! Someday!
This is a fabulous place to eat. Incredible pit bbq, wonderful staff and prices are reasonable too. Can't ask for anything else!
