Wow best burger I have had in a long while.
Went in for lunch as I was passing through. The guy working was super friendly and answered my questions thoroughly. The place smelled amazing, and I was excited to try their food. Unfortunately, I had some issues with my bank card and had to postpone my meal for another time. I will make that two hour drive back!
I was in Clearlake doing some recon with Fish Lipped Larry for the up and coming, and much anticipated Lakeport Lalapalooza Largemouth Bass Derby, and all you can eat Brisket BBQ next month atvthe park, and the Lip says we need to go to The Alley Grill in Lakeport for fried chicken! The Alley Grill in Lakeport is a hidden gem, well worth the drive no matter where you start from. The place smells amazing, and the staff is super friendly, welcoming guests the moment they open the door. The fried chicken is amazing, and the burgers and sandwiches are great. Made my burger into a salad, and the food was hot and freshly made to order but FAST. The patty melt was great, and the loaded fries were delicious. Don't come here if you are trying to diet...you will want to eat it all. Customers are handed a menu and gently explained how it works, with time to decide. You're the boss; tell them what you want and they create it for you. Customize galore! If they can't do it, they will tell you. Don't forget to order a strawberry lemonade rita. The restaurant is clean, with very nice, attentive staff on a Saturday. One note: a brisket melt came out with chunks of avocado, but it was quickly remedied with no hesitation.
